What should you know about the Nightveil Hallow?

New World’s Halloween event kicks off on October 22, 2024, and runs until November 5, 2024. During this event, players are tasked with banishing the shadowy demon back into the darkness, collecting treats through a “Trick or Treat” system, and earning new costumes for their characters.

What costumes are available?

During the event, players can collect costumes by participating in city events and defeating Baalphazu. Here’s the complete selection of costumes:

Key Activities of the Nightveil Hallow

What’s behind the "Trick or Treat" system?

Once you’ve donned your chosen costume, head to every town to search for treat baskets. These baskets have a 10% chance of containing Baalphazu armor pieces, along with 2 Nightveil Marks (up to 3 times a day) and candy. The candies are time-limited and come in four different flavors.

Items marked with daily limits will reset at 5:00 AM local time. For example, if you grab your third set of Nightveil Marks from treat baskets at 4:58 AM, you’ll be able to earn more at 5:01 AM, as the limit resets.

Who is Baalphazu?

Baalphazu is a level 66 world boss that players can team up to defeat. When you take down Baalphazu, you have the chance to collect armor pieces up to five times per day, and costumes up to three times per day. Additionally, Baalphazu drops a unique substance known as "Secret."

What do you do with the Secret?

After acquiring Secret from Baalphazu, you’ll need to bring it to Salvatore, the Mad, who can be found near the cauldrons in the cities of Aeternum. This will allow you to complete the associated quests and receive a Nightveil Hallow chest that contains the following:

  • 5 Nightveil Marks
  • 2 random Nightveil Hallow weapon schematics
  • Access to the Nightveil Guardian section in the event shop

Additionally, for every extra Secret you bring, you’ll receive a Nightveil Cauldron chest, which contains:

  • 7 to 13 Nightveil Marks
  • 1 random Nightveil Hallow weapon schematic
  • Pouch of Coin (up to 3 times per day)
  • 1 White Gypsum

What are the highlights of the event?

The Nightveil Hallow event offers plenty of unique activities that both new and experienced players can enjoy. First and foremost, the event features Baalphazu, a formidable level 66 world boss that players can team up to fight. This challenging battle encourages collaboration among players, and the rewards for defeating Baalphazu make the effort worthwhile.

Collecting armor pieces and costumes is one of the key highlights of this event. Baalphazu can drop up to five armor pieces per day and three costumes per day, making it essential to team up with others to maximize your rewards.

The "Trick or Treat" system is another fun aspect of the event. It brings a Halloween-like atmosphere to the game, allowing players to collect candy and other goodies from treat baskets scattered throughout the cities. With daily limits on some of the items, the event encourages players to return every day to continue collecting.

The importance of Nightveil Marks

Nightveil Marks play a central role in the event. These marks serve as the primary currency for purchasing event-related items, including costumes, weapons, and more. Players can earn Nightveil Marks by completing quests, opening Nightveil Cauldrons, and defeating Baalphazu. There’s a daily limit on how many marks you can earn, but diligent players will be able to amass enough to obtain all the event-exclusive rewards.

Nightveil Marks can be spent in the event shop, where players will find exclusive items such as the Nightveil Guardian gear. This gear is only available during the Nightveil Hallow event, making it a limited-time opportunity for players to expand their collection with unique items.

Maximizing your rewards during Nightveil Hallow

To make the most of the Nightveil Hallow event, there are a few strategies players can use. First, teaming up with others to defeat Baalphazu is essential, as it will allow you to collect more rewards in a shorter amount of time. Since Baalphazu can drop armor and costumes multiple times per day, gathering a reliable group of players will make farming much easier.

Second, pay attention to the reset times for daily limits. Nightveil Marks, for example, can be earned up to three times per day from treat baskets, and their reset happens at 5:00 AM local time. By timing your collections properly, you can maximize the amount of Nightveil Marks you earn during the event.

Finally, participating in the "Trick or Treat" system will not only reward you with candy but also with Baalphazu armor pieces and Nightveil Marks. These treats are scattered across towns, so be sure to explore each city to find the best spots for collecting them.

Unique items and rewards

The Nightveil Hallow event brings several exclusive items to New World, making it a must-participate event for collectors. From the Lost Monarch costume to the Captain Thorpe attire, players will be able to earn some visually striking outfits that celebrate the Halloween season. Additionally, the Nightveil Guardian gear adds a darker, more ominous aesthetic to your character, fitting the theme of the event.

Weapon schematics are also a valuable reward during the event. Players will be able to collect random Nightveil Hallow weapon schematics from Baalphazu and the Nightveil Cauldrons. These schematics allow players to craft event-exclusive weapons, further adding to the appeal of participating in the event.

For those looking to stock up on resources, the Coin Pouch and White Gypsum rewards from the Nightveil Cauldron chests offer practical benefits. White Gypsum, for instance, is used to upgrade gear in the game, making it a highly sought-after item for players aiming to strengthen their equipment.

Additionally, for players looking to make the most of their time in Aeternum, earning New World gold can be crucial during events like this. Whether you're trading, buying essential materials, or upgrading gear, having a sufficient amount of New World gold will help you maximize your rewards and progress in the game more efficiently.

The community aspect of Nightveil Hallow

One of the most exciting parts of the Nightveil Hallow event is the sense of community it fosters. With Baalphazu being a level 66 world boss, players will need to band together to defeat him. This encourages cooperation and teamwork, as taking down Baalphazu can be a tough challenge for solo players.

The "Trick or Treat" system also adds a lighthearted element to the event, giving players a chance to interact with one another while searching for treat baskets. Whether you’re battling Baalphazu or sharing strategies for finding the best rewards, Nightveil Hallow brings players together in a fun and festive way.
