As Diablo 4 prepares for Season 7, the PTR (Public Test Realm) offers players an early look at the latest updates to gameplay. Among the most impactful changes are adjustments to the classes, with Spiritborn and Rogue taking center stage in this patch. Patch 2.1 introduces notable buffs and nerfs, altering gameplay styles and influencing build development for both classes.

This guide provides an in-depth breakdown of the updates for Spiritborn and Rogue in Season 7, helping you adapt your strategies to tackle new challenges effectively.

Diablo 4 Season 7: Key Changes for Spiritborn and Rogue in the Upcoming Season

Spiritborn

While Spiritborn faces significant nerfs overall, a few skills have seen improvements that could reshape how the class is played.

  • Enhanced Thunderspike: The Vigor gain provided has been increased from 5 to 7. This change allows players to generate more Vigor during combat, enabling continuous use of Vigor-dependent skills.
  • Endurance: This skill will now generate double Vigor, making it a key asset for builds focusing on high-Vigor abilities. Combined with damage-dealing Vigor skills, these changes can help players clear enemies faster and farm Diablo 4 Gold more efficiently.

Some damaging abilities have also been buffed:

  • Thorns Damage: Bastion’s Thorns damage has been tripled, significantly increasing its effectiveness against enemy mobs.

However, Spiritborn has been hit hard in other areas:

  • Legendary Aspects: All three Legendary Aspects tied to Spiritborn have been nerfed. The most notable change is the complete removal of the Sticker-thought Aspect, which reduces Spiritborn’s capabilities in certain combat situations.
  • Spirit Halls: Centipede Primary Spirit Hall will now provide less damage reduction (down to 2% per hit) while increasing Poison damage. Similarly, Eagle Secondary Spirit Hall has been adjusted, with its reset delay extended to 4 seconds. These changes diminish the combo efficiency Spiritborn players have relied on.

Spiritborn’s Uniques have seen mixed updates:

  • Band of First Breath: While this Unique no longer spawns Vigor, it offers enhanced damage capabilities.
  • Rod of Kepeleke: Critical hit damage has been significantly reduced, which may necessitate build adjustments for players who favor this Unique.

Rogue

Rogue, in contrast, has received significant buffs in Season 7, enhancing its mobility, damage potential, and utility.

  • Assassin’s Stride Boots: These boots now increase movement speed by 100% after using a movement skill. Additionally, damage from Shadow Imbued movement skills has been amplified, allowing players to unleash devastating attacks on Elites and Bosses while maintaining high mobility. Acquiring this Unique will require effort or resources, making Gold management crucial for this class.

For Legendary Aspects, two standout buffs have been introduced:

  • Slice and Dice: Twisting Blades will now cleave enemies in the upcoming season, with their return speed boosted by 45%.
  • Bitter Infection: Damage caused by Shadow Imbued abilities will increase by 50%, and a ticking sound has been added to signal the countdown to explosions.

Rogue’s active and passive skills have also been significantly improved:

  • Twisting Blades: Extra damage now lasts longer.
  • Rain of Arrows: Delivers faster and smoother crowd control and instant damage.
  • Shadow Crash: Enables quicker and more reliable enemy stuns.

Additionally, Shadow Clone Unique has been massively upgraded, triggering faster and delivering more impactful damage. These updates offer endless possibilities for Rogue builds in Season 7, making it a versatile and formidable class to explore.
