First appearing in game files during the Mists of Pandaria expansion, Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren has long remained unobtainable—until now. Players can finally bring this legendary mount to life by completing a specific ritual.
The ritual to awaken Thrayir takes place in the Forgotten Vault area of Siren Isle, but only during the Seafury Tempest phase. Attempting this in the Normal phase of Siren Isle will result in no ritual being available. Within the Forgotten Vault, the ritual site is located in the eastern room. There, you’ll find Thrayir’s lifeless body surrounded by five runestones.

To activate the ritual, players need to gather five runekeys. Each runekey can be acquired by completing specific activities on Siren Isle during the Storm phase.
The Whirling Runekey is dropped by Ksvir the Forgotten, a rare NPC located in the southernmost room of the Forgotten Vault. This drop is guaranteed, provided you defeat Ksvir during a storm.
The Torrential Runekey requires players to collect 7 Torrential Fragments. These fragments are dropped by mobs encountered in the Storm phase of Siren Isle, but note that they have a low drop rate.
The Thunderous Runekey is assembled from 5 Thunderous Fragments, which can be found in treasure chests scattered across Siren Isle. These fragments can drop from any chest, even those located outside the Storm phase.
The Cyclonic Runekey is dropped by Zek'ul the Shipbreaker, located in the Deadfin Mire. However, this runekey is not a guaranteed drop, so multiple attempts may be necessary.
Finally, the Turbulent Runekey requires 3 Turbulent Fragments, which are scattered around Siren Isle during the Storm phase. These fragments are located near Kul Tiran ghosts in the following places:
Behind the abandoned inn, digging in the garden;
Inside a cave in the Rotting Hole area, where a ghost can be found cowering;
Inside the Spirit-Scarred Cave, where the ghost offers the fragment as tribute.
Ksvir the Forgotten Location: /way #2375 38.0 76.2
Zek'ul the Shipbreaker Location: /way #2369 33.1 73.3
Garden Fragment: /way #2369 38.19 51.78
Rotting Hole Fragment: /way #2369 67.08 78.44
Spirit-Scarred Fragment: /way #2369 52.39 38.59
Once you have collected all five runekeys, return to the ritual site in the Forgotten Vault. Insert each runekey into its corresponding runestone. This action will awaken Thrayir, completing the ritual and granting you the quest Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren. Upon completing the quest, you will receive the Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren mount.
