Arc Raiders Broken Monument Quest Guide

Quests in Arc Raiders frequently send you combing through its massive maps in search of specific items, and Broken Monument follows that same familiar pattern. For this quest, you’re tasked with locating an old ration, a compass, and a tape, then safely bringing them back to Speranza. If you’ve already made a trip to the Scrapyard where these items are hidden but still came up empty-handed, don’t worry—you’re far from the only one. Below, we’ll explain exactly where to find each item so you can finish the Broken Monument quest without wasting time.

Before you head out, it’s important to remember that you must extract with all of the required items to complete the quest. That means you should be ready to defend yourself on the way out if things get messy. Bring reliable weapons, and consider equipping a Looting Mk. 3 augment if you have access to it, as it provides three safe pockets. Storing quest items in your safe pockets ensures you won’t lose them even if you’re killed during the raid.

Where to find the Old Field Rations, First Wave Video Tape, and First Wave Compass for the Broken Monument Quest

Once you’re ready to start hunting down the items, make your way to the Scrapyard point of interest on the Dam Battlegrounds map. This area is located along the southern edge of the map, tucked into a wooded section that’s easy to overlook if you’re not paying attention.

After arriving at the Scrapyard, look for the field depot in the area. It’s a large, familiar structure that you’ve likely visited before during other quests across the map. Head inside the depot and check along the interior wall, where you’ll find a small box sitting on the ground. Looting this container will reward you with the Old Field Rations.

Once you’ve picked up the rations, leave the field depot and head slightly south. You should notice several large pipes emerging from the ground nearby. Next to one of these tubes, you’ll find another small loot box. Open it up to collect the First Wave Video Tape.

From there, continue moving a bit farther south until you come across a cluster of wrecked and destroyed vehicles. You can climb across the tops of these vehicles and drop down into the space between them. Tucked away in the corner is the final loot box. Open it to secure the First Wave Compass.

With all three quest items in your inventory, the final step is to extract successfully in order to complete Broken Monument. One of the safer options is to head northeast toward the Red Lakes Balcony Lift. While it’s a commonly used extraction point, taking your time, scouting ahead, and playing cautiously should help you make it back to Speranza safely. Good luck out there, raider.
