Arc Raiders Cold Case Quest Guide

If you're exploring Arc Raiders' first post-launch map, Stella Montis, you may also be working on a quest called Cold Case. This mission sends you into Stella Montis to locate and loot a J Kozma storage container. At first glance this objective might seem tricky, but there’s actually a very simple and efficient way to complete it and return to Speranza with very little effort. Let’s take a closer look.

Keep in mind that you must extract with the item you obtain from the J Kozma storage container. Because of this, it’s a good idea to bring a loadout that includes a safe pocket, just in case another raider tries to interrupt your run. As you’ll notice below, the container we’re targeting is located right beside an extraction point, which greatly lowers the odds of running into trouble. Even so, it’s always better to stay cautious and prepared.

Where to find a J Kozma Storage Container for the Cold Case Quest

The J Kozma storage container only appears on the Stella Montis map. While several of these containers can spawn in different areas around the map, the easiest and most efficient one to collect is located inside the Lobby Metro Station. This particular location is extremely convenient because it sits right next to the button used to call the extraction train. It really doesn’t get much easier than that.

Make your way down into this point of interest until you reach the extraction area. If you want to finish the quest as smoothly as possible, press the button to call the train first. After doing so, turn around 180 degrees and you’ll notice a container positioned directly in front of the button. Walk up to it and interact with it to cause the Old World Books item to drop out. Be sure to pick up the Old World Books and place them into your inventory—preferably inside your safe pocket to protect them.

Once you’ve secured the Old World Books for Shani, your final task is to extract back to Speranza in order to complete the quest. Stay in cover while waiting for the train to arrive and remain alert, since another raider could appear hoping to grab easy loot from players attempting to extract. When the train finally pulls in, quickly run to the console inside and activate it to return to Speranza. Just like that, the quest is done.
