Cooling coils are one of the more frustrating materials to hunt down while playing ARC Raiders. This rare resource only spawns in a limited number of locations, which makes tracking down cooling coils especially challenging if you don’t know where to search. The good news is that cooling coils can appear on several different maps, as long as you understand which areas to prioritize. That’s exactly where this guide comes in. Below, you’ll find the best cooling coil locations in ARC Raiders and how to approach each area safely.
The cooling coil is classified as an Industrial item in ARC Raiders. Because of this, your best chance of finding cooling coils is by visiting points of interest marked with the Industrial icon. Any location with this symbol has a chance to spawn industrial materials, including cooling coils.

So where should you focus your runs if you’re specifically hunting cooling coils? We strongly recommend prioritizing three maps: Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport, and The Blue Gate. These areas provide multiple industrial loot zones with reasonable risk-to-reward ratios.
Cooling coils can also appear on the higher-difficulty map, Stella Montis. However, since Stella Montis is considered an end-game area and attracts aggressive, well-geared players, it’s generally not the most efficient place to farm cooling coils. Unless you’re already comfortable surviving there, you’ll likely have more success on the other maps.
No matter which map you choose, always look for the Industrial symbol at major points of interest. These locations give you the highest chance of finding cooling coils during your raid.
Dam Battlegrounds offers several large industrial areas where cooling coils can spawn. Some of the most notable locations include the Hydroponic Dome Complex, Power Generation Complex, Water Treatment Control, and the Scrap Yard located in the southern section of the map.

Among these options, the Scrap Yard is the safest choice, but it also comes with the lowest probability of finding cooling coils. If you’re looking to improve your odds, the Water Treatment Control and Power Generation Complex are better alternatives, offering more industrial loot with moderate danger.
For the highest chance of securing cooling coils on Dam Battlegrounds, the Hydroponic area is your best bet. That said, it’s also the riskiest option. Expect heavy ARC patrols and frequent player traffic in this zone, so be prepared for combat if you decide to search there.
Another strong option for finding cooling coils is the Spaceport map, which contains several industrial loot locations. The most promising areas include the Rocket Assembly, Vehicle Maintenance, Container Storage, and the Shipping Warehouse in the northern part of the map.

Out of these locations, the Shipping Warehouse is generally the least efficient spot to check for cooling coils. It has a lower chance of spawning rare items and sits near the edge of the map, making it inconvenient unless you spawn nearby.
The Rocket Assembly is closer to the center of Spaceport and is labeled as a Medium Loot Rarity area. While this increases your chances of finding cooling coils, getting there can be dangerous due to the long travel distance and the number of ARCs and players along the way.
Your most reliable option on Spaceport is to search the Vehicle Maintenance and Container Storage areas. These two locations are positioned next to each other, allowing you to check multiple industrial loot spawns efficiently while minimizing unnecessary risk.
The final map where you can search for cooling coils is The Blue Gate. Compared to other maps, the number of viable locations here is more limited. Your primary options are the Adorned Wreckage on the western side of the map and the Warehouse Complex closer to the center.

The Warehouse Complex stands out as the best place to find cooling coils on The Blue Gate, thanks to its Medium Loot Rarity designation. The biggest challenge is safely reaching it. Many players are drawn toward the Checkpoint instead, which can give you an opportunity to slip into the Warehouse Complex with less resistance.
The Adorned Wreckage, located far to the west, follows a similar risk pattern. It’s only worth looting if you spawn close by, as traveling across the map to reach it can expose you to unnecessary danger. If you do spawn nearby, however, it can be a worthwhile spot to search for cooling coils.
