The new Arc Radiers event is officially live, delivering fresh, free content for players to dive into. Alongside the snowy Cold Snap map condition, players can now take part in the Flickering Flames project, which functions similarly to the Expeditions you’ve been completing throughout the season. Very early on, this project asks you to track down specific scavenged materials, including the newly added Candleberries. One of the earliest and most unexpected requirements, however, is empty wine bottles—an item most players would normally ignore or sell. Below, you’ll find exactly where to locate empty wine bottles and how they’re used.
Like many other valuables, empty wine bottles are categorized as both Residential and Commercial loot. This classification means you’ll have a higher chance of finding empty wine bottles in any point of interest that features either of these loot types. Across the different maps, there are a few standout locations where your odds are especially good:
When it comes to consistently finding empty wine bottles, Village on The Blue Gate has proven to be the most reliable location. This area is flagged as both Commercial and Residential, and it’s packed with apartment buildings filled with lootable interiors. Focus your attention on cabinets, refrigerators, and dresser drawers, as these containers appear to have an increased chance of spawning empty wine bottles.
Be sure to search every floor in each building. Most structures contain multiple apartments, and nearly all of them include kitchens that can be looted. It’s also worth starting your run on the northern side of the Village. The southern section has noticeably fewer homes and a much higher concentration of storefronts, which reduces the number of potential spawn points for empty wine bottles.
Grandioso Apartments and Plaza Rosa are also solid alternatives if you’re hunting for empty wine bottles. Much like the Village, these locations offer a dense layout of lootable apartments and residential spaces. That said, Buried City tends to be far more chaotic and PvP-heavy, which significantly increases the risk of running into hostile players while you search.
Tip: Unfortunately, empty wine bottles cannot be crafted, purchased, or obtained by recycling other items. The only way to acquire empty wine bottles is through direct looting, so patience and thorough searching are key.

Just like in the Village, prioritize lootable containers found in and around kitchens when searching these areas. These spots consistently provide the best chances for empty wine bottles to spawn. Another viable option is the Library on the northern side of Buried City. While it can produce results, the building’s exposed layout makes it more difficult to secure, increasing the likelihood that another player could wander in while you’re looting.
Northwest of the Hydroponic Dome Complex, Ruby Residence and Pale Apartments are also worth checking. This cluster of apartment buildings is a reliable source of common valuables, including empty wine bottles. Since the area isn’t tied to any specific loot tier, it’s a reasonable spot to search without facing overly strong enemies or inflated loot pools.
No matter which location you choose, it’s strongly recommended that you avoid searching for empty wine bottles during the Cold Snap event itself. Cold Snap increases overall loot rarity, which ironically makes common items like empty wine bottles harder to find. Running a standard map without any active events ensures that common loot remains common, making your search far more efficient.

Remember, you only need a single empty wine bottle to progress the Flickering Flames project. Any additional empty wine bottles you collect can be sold for credits or crafted into Agave Juice if you’ve unlocked the appropriate blueprint.
