Arc Raiders Groundbreaking Quest Guide

The Groundbreaking quest in Arc Raiders unfolds on the constantly active and high-risk Blue Gate map, featuring several objectives that will push you toward the northern section of the area. Whether you're trying to locate the locked room at Pilgrim's Peak or figure out where the building shown on the whiteboard is situated, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know to finish the quest efficiently.

You aren’t required to extract in order to complete Groundbreaking, but you will be given the Blue Gate Communication Tower Key as soon as you accept the quest. That means you must bring the key into the raid with you. To avoid losing it along the way, it’s highly recommended that you equip an augment with a safe pocket and store the key there. If you happen to lose it, you’ll need to rely on random luck to find another—or hope that another raider has already unlocked the door by the time you arrive.

Once you're fully prepared and ready to tackle Groundbreaking, follow the steps below.

Enter the Locked Room at Pilgrim's Peak

Your first objective in Groundbreaking is to travel to Pilgrim’s Peak. This location sits at the northernmost edge of the Blue Gate map and is frequently visited by other raiders due to its valuable high-tier loot. Because of that, you should approach carefully and make sure your Blue Gate Communication Tower Key is safely stored in your safe pocket before engaging in any fights.

After reaching Pilgrim’s Peak, head inside the facility and look for the locked door positioned along the eastern side of the structure.

The locked door is fairly easy to identify, though there’s always a chance another player has already opened it before you arrive. If that happens, you can conserve your key and save it for a future loot run instead of using it unnecessarily.

Make your way into the room once it’s open.

Search the Room for any Construction Research

Inside the locked room, head to the right side and interact with the single whiteboard mounted there. Doing so will reveal a photograph of a specific building, which sets up your next objective.

While you’re inside, take advantage of the opportunity to loot the room thoroughly. Pilgrim’s Peak is known for strong loot potential, and you might come across a weapon case containing a powerful firearm that could significantly improve your chances of surviving the remainder of the raid.

After examining the whiteboard and collecting any useful loot, it’s time to track down the structure shown in the photo.

Find the Building pictured on the Whiteboard

Your next destination is the Abandoned Housing Project POI, located to the southwest. Keep in mind that this area is also a common spawn location, meaning you could easily encounter other raiders searching for supplies. Stay alert and proceed cautiously.

Move toward the building situated just beneath the “Abandoned Housing Project” label on your map. As you approach the correct structure, the next objective will trigger automatically: Take a photograph of the abandoned housing project.

Walk up to any of the interactable points around the unfinished building and use them to take a photograph. Once the photo has been successfully taken, the Groundbreaking quest will be marked as complete.

With everything finished, you’re free to return to Speranza using whichever extraction point you prefer. Be aware that Blue Gate has a reputation for extraction campers, so take a moment to scan surrounding buildings, corners, and elevated positions before activating the extraction. Keep your weapon ready and stay vigilant in case another raider attempts to ambush you at the last second. You’ve made it this far—finish strong.
