Mushrooms are strangely one of the most frustrating food items to track down in Arc Raiders, but when Scrappy asks for something, you’re going to get it done. By the time you reach this task, you’ve already been sent all over the world collecting everything from lemons and apricots to prickly pears, olives, and even a cat bed. Yet despite feeling like the kind of thing that should be everywhere in a ruined world, mushrooms end up being some of the most irritating items to locate.
That said, there’s no need to panic. Your hunt for oddball food items is nearly finished, and once you understand where mushrooms tend to spawn, gathering them becomes much more manageable. You’ll probably still need to repeat a few runs to stock up, but farming them is far less painful once you know the right spots.
The most reliable locations for finding mushrooms are:

In general, mushrooms are categorized as Nature items and tend to appear on trees or in damp, overgrown environments found in Nature zones. This explains why you’ll often see multiple spawn points inside the Hydroponic Dome Complex, frequently tucked away in small planter boxes, as well as on the trees surrounding the complex and along the nearby river on Dam Battlegrounds. It’s a fairly large area, so be prepared for a decent amount of wandering through wooded terrain, but you should be able to gather a solid amount and extract safely using the nearby lift.
Another place worth checking is the pipework on the top floor of Water Treatment Control. While this location is much more compact and requires far less roaming, mushroom spawns here aren’t guaranteed and usually won’t appear in large quantities.
Be aware that both of these areas are fairly dangerous, and mushrooms can be difficult to spot at a glance. It’s easy to let your guard down while scavenging, so stay alert. On average, I typically manage to find one to two mushrooms every three to four runs through the swamp sections of Dam Battlegrounds.
As mentioned earlier, another viable option is the cluster of trees located between Little Hangar and the East Container Yard on the Spaceport map. While this area isn’t officially marked as a Nature zone, mushrooms spawn here quite frequently and can be a useful alternative farming spot.
Since mushrooms are a Nature item, your chances of finding them improve when the Lush Blooms world modifier is active. If you see that modifier pop up, it’s an ideal time to focus on finishing this objective and finally cross mushrooms off your scavenging list—according to gamer choice.
