Arc Raiders is packed with dangerous enemies to fight, and some quests will require you to collect specific materials from them. The Test Case quest from Apollo is a perfect example, asking you to gather a Hornet Driver, Fireball Burner, and Firefly Burner.
While the objectives in Test Case are fairly simple, you’ll still want to come prepared with the right shields and ammo. Some of these enemies can be frustrating to deal with, especially if they catch you exposed in open areas. It’s also a smart idea to bring an augment with one or more safe pockets so you can secure the quest items and avoid losing them if you get eliminated.
When you’re ready to collect everything needed for the Test Case quest, follow the steps below.
To obtain a Hornet Driver, you’ll need to take down a Hornet. These airborne enemies usually patrol alongside Wasps and attack using electrical shocks. Fortunately, they spawn frequently across all maps, so finding one shouldn’t take long.

When fighting a Hornet, focus on shooting its front thrusters until they become exposed. Once vulnerable, continue firing at them to destabilize the ARC and send it spinning out of control. If you can position yourself properly, targeting the already-exposed rear thrusters is often the quickest and safest way to bring it down.
After defeating a Hornet, loot its remains to collect a Hornet Driver.
To get a Fireball Burner, you’ll need to destroy a Fireball. These rolling enemies tend to appear suddenly and unleash bursts of fire, making them a common threat during exploration. You’ll usually find them inside buildings on any map, often accompanied by Pops, so stay alert when approaching enclosed areas.

To eliminate a Fireball, wait for it to expose its core and fire directly into the center. This is the most reliable method. Alternatively, a single powerful shot from a heavy weapon like an Anvil or Ferro can destroy it instantly, even if its armor is still active.
Once the Fireball is defeated, loot it to obtain the Fireball Burner.
Fireflies are a post-launch enemy in Arc Raiders and function as a flying variant of the Fireball. They can appear on all maps, but players tend to encounter them more frequently in Dam Battlegrounds and Blue Gate. These aggressive ARCs can rain fire from above, so dealing with them quickly is essential.

To take down a Firefly, use medium or heavy ammo to damage its thrusters, similar to other airborne drone enemies. You can also aim for its core while it’s exposed during its fire attack, though doing so can be risky if you don’t have solid cover.
After defeating a Firefly, loot it to collect the Firefly Burner.
