The Back on Top quest in ARC Raiders is handed out by Tian Wen, who is working alongside Shani to scout potential new topside locations for future raider outposts. Your task is to visit several specific locations across the Dam Battlegrounds, Buried City, Spaceport, and The Blue Gate maps and mark the landmarks referenced in the quest objectives. While some of these landmarks are fairly easy to identify, others can be confusing at first glance. This guide will walk you through every step so you can mark all required locations and finish the Back on Top quest in ARC Raiders quickly and efficiently.

Mark the Pattern House on Dam Battlegrounds in ARC Raiders (Back on Top)

The first objective of the Back on Top quest in ARC Raiders tasks players with marking the Pattern House on the Dam Battlegrounds map. The Pattern House is located in the northernmost section of the map, positioned northwest of the Power Generation complex. If you do not spawn nearby, be prepared for a longer trek across the map to reach this location.

Once you reach the destination, you will immediately notice a large grey building covered in yellow, cryptic symbols. Approach the structure and interact with the exterior walls to spray the raider markings. Any valid marking spot will work, whether it’s located near the front entrance or around the back of the building.

Mark the White Lookout Tower South of the Warehouse Complex on Blue Gate in ARC Raiders (Back on Top)

The second objective for the Back on Top quest takes players to The Blue Gate map. Here, you must locate and mark a white lookout tower situated south of the Warehouse Complex in ARC Raiders. The Warehouse Complex itself can be found just northeast of the Checkpoint area and is frequently occupied by raiders looting resources.

Warning: It’s strongly advised to be cautious in this area, as it can serve as a spawn location for the Matriarch if the dynamic event is active.

From the Warehouse Complex, continue heading south and you’ll begin moving slightly downhill. The white lookout tower will soon come into view at the map location shown above. There are multiple spots on the tower where you can spray your marking. After completing this step, extract safely and prepare for the next objective.

Mark the South Trench Tower on Spaceport in ARC Raiders (Back on Top)

The third objective of the Back on Top quest sends players to the Spaceport map. You’ll need to locate the South Trench Tower, which is found in the northern part of Spaceport, positioned between the West Hangar and East Hangar areas. This location is generally safer than others, as only raiders with the proper tower keys tend to visit it. That said, reaching it may still require a lengthy journey depending on your spawn point.

After arriving at the South Trench Tower, look for the wall located right next to the staircase. Marking this wall will complete the third objective. Once finished, you can extract from the Spaceport and move on to the final task.

Mark the Building with Mural Near Buried Properties on Buried City in ARC Raiders (Back on Top)

The final objective of the Back on Top quest takes place on the Buried City map. Players must find and mark a building featuring a mural near the Buried Properties area. This zone is located on the easternmost side of the Buried City and is generally considered a safer area, far from most PvP hotspots—unless another player happens to spawn nearby.

When you arrive at the location indicated on the map above, you’ll see a wall topped with a rusted billboard. Move closer to the wall and interact with it to apply your marking. Doing so will complete the final objective of the Back on Top quest.

Tips for Completing Back on Top Quest Safely & Quickly in ARC Raiders

The Back on Top quest requires players to travel through several potentially dangerous locations across four different maps in ARC Raiders. Bringing valuable personal gear into these areas can put you at risk, whether from hostile raiders or surprise encounters with ARC machines.

To complete the quest efficiently while minimizing risk, consider entering each match with no equipment and only a stack of Adrenaline Shots stored in your Safe Pocket. Refer to the map locations outlined in this guide and check whether your spawn point is close to the current objective.

If you spawn far from the target location, you can safely use the “Surrender” option to return to Speranza and try again without losing your Adrenaline Shots. If you spawn nearby, make your way to the objective and use Adrenaline Shots one at a time, keeping the rest secured in your Safe Pocket to maintain stamina during travel.

Following this approach allows you to reach each landmark quickly while avoiding unnecessary gear losses. Completing the Back on Top quest in ARC Raiders rewards players with a Renegade I weapon, Stable Stock III, and 80x Medium Ammo.
