Just in time for Halloween, the “Macabre Festival” is kicking off soon in Diablo 4. During this Halloween event, you can grab free skins—and the Butcher wants to play a game with you. The community already has some wild ideas about it.
In Diablo 4, the “Macabre Festival” is starting soon, offering you time-limited cosmetic rewards. Additionally, there will be shrines in dungeons that may have surprise effects. And a deadly enemy, feared especially by new players, will also play a role.
The Halloween event starts on October 29, 2024, at 6:00 PM and runs until November 5, 2024, at 7:00 PM. You have one week to claim the skins and enjoy the event.
How do I get the skins?
Over four days, you can grab skins from the Diablo 4 shop that are visually tied to the “Macabre Festival.” Every day, there’s a new skin to collect. Until November 5 at 9:00 PM, you’ll have the chance to pick up any missed cosmetics.
Here are the skins that will be available:
What role does the Butcher play?
According to Blizzard, during the Halloween event, the Butcher wants to play “Trick or Cleaver” with you. During the event period, you’ll find shrines in dungeons that give you a surprise effect. They might reward you with riches—or cause your dungeon run to go up in smoke.
For some, the Butcher has become a bit of a joke at higher levels. However, it seems that new players, and especially hardcore players, still fear this deadly enemy and often choose to run away. In Hardcore mode, death is permanent—and for many, the Butcher is considered the final boss.
