If you’re looking to power up your Slayer skills in Old School RuneScape (OSRS), then there’s truly no better NPC to visit than Duradel — the highest Slayer Master in the game. However, reaching Duradel can be a little challenging since he’s located in Shilo Village, one of the more secluded areas of Karamja. You’ll likely need to visit him often, especially if your focus is on boosting your Slayer level and earning valuable rewards.

So dive right in, and let’s guide you through everything you need to know about all the quickest and most convenient routes to reach Duradel without wasting any time!
One of the fastest and most convenient ways to reach Duradel is by using Karamja Gloves 4, which are awarded after completing the full set of achievements in the Karamja Diary. These gloves not only provide other useful bonuses — such as access to Hardwood Grove and shortcuts to Red Dragons — but they also allow you to teleport directly and infinitely to Shilo Village, Duradel’s home base.
We highly recommend finishing your Karamja Diary as soon as you can, as this teleport becomes an incredibly valuable and time-saving feature. The Karamja Diaries are divided into four tiers: Easy, Medium, Hard, and Elite. Completing all of them will reward you with this top-tier teleportation option.
If you haven’t yet unlocked Karamja Gloves 4, don’t worry. You can still make use of Karamja Gloves 3, obtained after finishing the Easy, Medium, and Hard tasks in the Karamja Diary. These gloves allow you to teleport directly to the Gem Mine located in the northwest area of Shilo Village.
From the Gem Mine, it’s just a short walk to reach Duradel. The best part? Just like Karamja Gloves 4, these gloves have unlimited teleport uses, making your trips to Shilo Village nearly effortless.
This option doesn’t require any specific achievements — only a small payment of 230 coins. Start by obtaining an Ardougne Teleport tablet from the Grand Exchange, and use it to teleport directly to Ardougne. From there, walk southeast toward the docks labeled “Ship to Brimhaven/Rimmington” on your map.
If you’re playing as an Ironman, you’ll need 51 Magic, along with two Law Runes and Water Runes, to cast the Ardougne Teleport spell manually. Once you arrive at the docks, locate Captain Barnaby — an NPC wearing blue clothing. Right-click and select the second dialogue option, “Brimhaven Captain Barnaby,” to set sail for Brimhaven.
When you reach Brimhaven, head southeast until you spot a cart. Hover over it and select the first option, “Pay-fare Travel Cart.” Paying 200 coins will transport you straight into Shilo Village, where Duradel is waiting.
This method works perfectly if your Player-Owned House (POH) is located in Brimhaven. Simply teleport to your home and walk a short distance to the same cart mentioned in Method #3.
If you have a Construction Cape, you can use it for a free teleport. Open your Grand Exchange interface, click the cape icon at the bottom-right corner, and then select the option “Tele to POH Construct…cape(t).” Once there, pay the 200-coin fare, and you’ll be transported directly to Shilo Village — just steps away from Duradel.
If your house isn’t based in Brimhaven, the Spirit Tree method is a great alternative. Once you reach level 83 Farming, you can grow your own Spirit Tree and plant it somewhere in Brimhaven. If you prefer to have it inside your Player-Owned House, you’ll need level 75 Construction to build it.
After setting up the Spirit Tree, you can teleport directly to Brimhaven and follow the same steps from Method #3 or #4 to reach Duradel quickly and easily.
Using a Fairy Ring is another highly efficient way to get close to Duradel. These magical teleportation rings are unlocked during the quest “Fairy Tale II – Cure a Queen” once you’ve received permission from the Fairy Godfather. With access to 46 rings scattered across the map, you can input a three-letter code to travel instantly to your desired location.
For reaching Shilo Village, input the code “CKR” — this will teleport you just west of the village. From there, it’s only a brief jog to reach Duradel. Alternatively, you can use the Tai Bwo Wannai Teleport via a Treasure Trail scroll, which takes you slightly north of Shilo Village. Keep in mind that these scrolls are single-use items obtained after completing Treasure Trails, and you must have finished the “Tai Bwo Wannai Trio” quest to use them.
The final route involves using a Glider to reach Gandius, which will land you slightly east of Shilo Village. From there, it’s a short on-foot journey to meet Duradel. To unlock Gliders, you’ll need to complete “The Grand Tree” quest, which grants access to seven different Glider travel locations.
Additionally, you can pair Gliders with Fairy Rings for a direct teleport to the west side of Shilo Village, making this an even faster travel option to reach Duradel.
While some of these methods may vary slightly in travel time, all of them are highly effective ways to reach Duradel as fast as possible. Choose the route that suits your setup best — whether it’s through the Karamja Gloves, Cart System, or Fairy Rings — and make your Slayer runs more efficient. The quicker you can get to Duradel, the sooner you can earn Slayer Points and continue mastering your combat journey in OSRS.
