- FFXIV Facewear List: How to Convert Spectacles and Unlock New Eyewear Options
The new expansion for Final Fantasy XIV Online (FFXIV) has been live for a few days now, bringing fresh adventures and exciting features to the game. One of the notable changes is the separation of fashion accessories and battle equipment. A key addition in this update is the new FFXIV Facewear List, which categorizes Spectacles under Facewear. In this article, we will explore the Facewear category and how players can convert their existing Spectacles.
What Is a Facewear?
Previously, Spectacles were listed under the Fashion Accessories category in FFXIV. With the Dawntrail expansion, they have been reclassified under “Facewear.” If you had Spectacles before this update, don’t worry—you can easily convert them to Facewear. The next section will guide you through this simple process.
How to Convert Spectacles to Facewear
The conversion process is straightforward. If you owned Spectacles before the Dawntrail update, follow these steps to obtain their Facewear equivalent:
- Visit a Calamity Salvager
- Choose Spectacle Exchange from the menu.
- Select the Spectacles you want to convert to Facewear.
- Done!
You can find a Calamity Salvager at the following locations:
- Limsa Lominsa: Upper Decks (X: 11.4, Y: 14.4)
- Old Gridania: (X: 10.0, Y: 8.4)
- Ul’dah – The Steps of Thal: (X: 12.6, Y: 13.1)
