FFXIV: How To Get Ty’aitya Mount?
Final Fantasy XIV’s latest expansion, Dawntrail, is out, bringing a variety of exciting new content. One of the most sought-after additions is the Ty'aitya mount, a giant sugar glider that players can add to their collection. However, obtaining this adorable mount requires a significant effort. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to unlock the Ty'aitya mount, including where to redeem it and how to earn the necessary currency.
How To Unlock Ty'aitya mount?
To acquire this giant sugar glider, you need to complete FATEs in the six new Dawntrail regions. As you complete these FATEs, your shared FATE level in each area will increase. To unlock the necessary vendors, you must reach level 4, which requires completing a total of 66 FATEs per area.
With a total of 396 FATEs spread across these zones, the best strategy is to team up with friends or use the Party Finder feature to make the process more efficient. Once you’ve reached the required FATE level in a specific area, you will gain access to new merchants in the city of Dawntrail.
To obtain the Ty'aitya mount, you first need to find Kajeel Ja at Bayside Bevy in Tuliyollal, located at X:12.8 Y:13.0.
Next, visit Beryl in Solution Nine’s Nexus Arcade at X:8.4 Y:14.1. These vendors sell a range of specialty items, including frame kits and, most importantly, Turali Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers. These vouchers cost 100 Bicolor Gemstones each, and to obtain the Ty'aitya mount, you will need 500 of them.
Having a sufficient amount of FFXIV Gil can also be helpful for transactions and other purchases, making the process smoother if you have the resources.
Where To Spend Turali Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers?
Accumulating 500 Turali Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers is no easy task, as you will need 50,000 Bicolor Gemstones in total. Regular FATEs grant only 14 Bicolor Gemstones per completion, which means farming them can take quite some time. However, Dawntrail introduces some improved ways to earn Bicolor Gemstones more efficiently.
For instance, participating in world boss FATEs such as Ttokrrone rewards 100 Bicolor Gemstones in one go. Additionally, defeating special enemies like Forlorn Maidens or Forlorn, which appear in certain FATEs, grants bonus experience and extra Bicolor Gemstones. Taking advantage of these methods can help you speed up the grind significantly.
Once you have gathered 500 Turali Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers, your next stop is Mor Dhona. Head to the House of Splendors in Rowena, located in the northern part of Aetheryte. Here, you will find the merchant Edelina at X:22.1 Y:4.9.
Edelina sells luxury mounts for 50 million FFXIV Gil, but she also offers an exchange option specifically for Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers. This is where you can finally redeem your 500 vouchers for the Ty’aitya Whistle, which is required to summon your new mount.
Once you have obtained the whistle, simply use it from your inventory, and the Ty'aitya mount will be added to your collection!
Conclusion
Dawntrail introduces a variety of new content, including rare and unique mounts. While the journey to obtaining the Ty'aitya mount is long and requires dedication, it is undoubtedly a rewarding experience. Not only will you enjoy the adventure of exploring the new regions, but you will also be able to add this charming sugar glider to your growing mount collection.
If you need an extra boost to get ahead in your journey, Gamer Choice is the perfect place to find FFXIV Gil and other essentials to make your adventure smoother!
