Square Enix has officially unveiled the release schedule for Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.2, titled “Seekers of Eternity”, bringing a wealth of new content to Dawntrail. Players can expect the patch to launch on March 25, 2025, followed by incremental updates 7.21 on April 22, 2025, and 7.25 on May 27, 2025.
Final Fantasy XIV’s Patch 7.2, “Seekers of Eternity”, is set to release on March 25 and continues the core storyline of Dawntrail, pushing the narrative even further for Warriors of Light. One of the central features of this patch is the AAC Cruiserweight Tier, the newest 8-player raid series. Its Savage difficulty version will unlock one week after the patch goes live, giving players a tougher challenge to tackle. The Underkeep Dungeon will also be added to the duty finder, along with the new Trial Recollection and its Extreme difficulty variant. Meanwhile, Faux Hollows sees the return of Hells’ Kier (Unreal), rotating in as the current Unreal Trial.
Arriving on April 22, Patch 7.21 brings a change of pace, focusing on non-combat content. The major highlight of this update is the introduction of Cosmic Exploration, a completely new lifestyle-based activity for players to enjoy. This patch also caters to crafting and gathering enthusiasts, as it introduces Cosmic Tools—relic-quality tools designed for crafters and gatherers looking to refine their profession even further.
The final stage of the Patch 7.2 rollout lands on May 27, introducing Field Operation: Occult Crescent. This update adds South Horn, a brand-new explorable zone where players will engage in a large-scale 48-player raid called Forked Tower. Another exciting addition is the introduction of Phantom Jobs, offering a fresh take on job mechanics that may reshape gameplay strategies across multiple roles. Alongside these new job features, Phantom Weapons make their debut as the next wave of relic gear. The Mamool Ja return with new Allied Society Quests, adding more lore and quest content to enjoy. Fans of lighthearted storylines can also dive into a new chapter of comedic chaos in the Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures.
With the rollout of Patch 7.2 and its subsequent updates, Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail is gearing up for an exciting few months filled with expanded endgame experiences and diverse content. From hardcore raid encounters to casual lifestyle additions, there’s something for every kind of adventurer. Be sure
