To unlock the Brave title, you must complete 10 triumphs, each involving a different task or objective. While none are overly difficult, they will take time. One of these triumphs is hidden and not listed in the in-game title menu, but we’ll include it here too. Let’s break them down one by one.
This triumph is straightforward. Reach the max reputation level with Lord Shaxx. Here’s how:
Note: Even though Shaxx runs The Crucible, this triumph only counts Onslaught rep gains.

Defeat all three unique Onslaught bosses. Each boss rotates weekly, so you can’t do this in one go. The three bosses are:
To access a boss encounter, you need to play the 50-wave version of Onslaught.
Survive the 5th wave on normal difficulty in Onslaught. This wave has some tougher enemies, but it’s manageable with a bit of coordination and decent gear.
This triumph requires you to complete the Whisper exotic mission. It involves platforming puzzles and a final fight with three bosses. Traverse the depths of IO, destroy a Taken Blight, and earn a craftable version of the Whisper of the Worm sniper.
Unlock the Grimoire card about Empress Caiatl. In the Hall of Champions, check the rooms on either side. Each week brings a new seasonal quest. Complete the entire questline to receive the final Grimoire card and finish this triumph. It’s time-gated, so patience is key.
This triumph has four stages. Each is completed by surviving 50 waves in Onslaught, totaling 200 waves. It’s a test of endurance more than difficulty.
You’ll need to purchase 20 defenses in Onslaught. Be quick, as others may snag them first. Each defense bought or upgraded counts toward the total. Timing and teamwork help here.

Eliminate enemies using BRAVE weapons. These don’t need to be shiny variants — any version will do. Equip and rack up those kills to finish this challenge.
Complete all 12 BRAVE weapon quests. These are released gradually, and by April 30th, 2024, all should be available. Note that weapons earned through drops don’t count unless the quest itself is started. Completing these unlocks the shiny variants.
Available starting May 14th, 2024, this triumph requires completing the Zero Hour exotic mission. Navigate through a maze-like facility, dodge the deadly robot Trevor, and defeat the final boss to earn the craftable Outbreak Perfected exotic weapon.
You need to complete a seal made up of 10 triumphs. One of these is a hidden triumph linked to the second exotic mission that becomes available in May.
You can earn reputation with Shaxx by playing Onslaught matches and completing bounties from either Shaxx himself or the Arcite 99-40 vendor.
Brave weapons are earned by participating in the Onslaught game mode. Some weapons also have dedicated quests that unlock special versions upon completion.
The Brave title isn't too challenging to earn, but it does take time. Some triumphs are time-gated, requiring you to wait for specific weekly rotations or upcoming content updates. Expect to spend about a week completing everything.
The Brave title has a few time-gated objectives, meaning you’ll have to log in weekly or wait for specific dates to unlock missions. Thankfully, this title is more accessible than those tied to major DLCs. Bungie clearly aims to make this achievable for both hardcore veterans and new players alike.
We’ve listed each triumph and provided guidance to help you grab the Brave title in Destiny 2 as efficiently as possible. Whether you’re grinding it yourself or using Gamer Choice for a helping hand, we wish you luck on your journey. Stay tuned for more Destiny 2 updates, and good luck, Guardians!
