Palworld is a creature-collection survival game where you explore massive regions, capture Pals, expand bases, and take on challenging enemies while juggling crafting, resources, and general survival. With regular updates since launch, the game has introduced deeper systems for customizing your companions — most notably through the addition of implants.
These implants let you enhance or alter your Pals by applying passive bonuses, swapping out unwanted traits, or strengthening the abilities they already carry. In this guide, we’ll break down how to obtain every type of implant in Palworld, what each one offers, and how to properly install them using the Surgery Table from Gamer Choice.

In Palworld, implants function as upgrade modules that can be inserted into your Pals to grant passive effects or replace their existing traits. These range from straightforward stat increases—like faster movement or higher attack power—to useful utility perks designed to lower hunger, stamina drain, or workload strain.
You’ll gain access to using implants once you craft the Pal Surgery Table, which becomes available at Technology Level 36.

Knowing exactly where each implant comes from is essential if you want to maximize your team’s performance. Below, we break down every source so you can decide which upgrades fit each Pal best.

As soon as you unlock the Pal Surgery Table, you’ll find a pre-set selection of passive implants you can apply immediately. These often include traits like Serious, Nocturnal, and Nimble—solid upgrades that boost work efficiency, improve nighttime productivity, or increase movement speed.

The Arena Merchant can be found northwest of Eastern Wild Island on the PvP Arena island. To purchase passive implants here, you’ll need Battle Tickets, which are earned by participating in Arena battles.
This vendor provides exclusive traits such as Runner, Infinite Stamina, and Serenity that you won’t find elsewhere in the game. Each implant costs 50 Battle Tickets.
| Implant | Description |
|---|---|
| Serenity | Reduces cooldown on active abilities by thirty percent and adds ten percent extra attack. |
| Infinite Stamina | Increases a rideable Pal's stamina by 50 percent. |
| Runner | Improves movement speed by twenty percent. |
Note: Implants obtained from both the Arena Merchant and Bounty Officers are reusable, meaning you only need to acquire them once.

Vigilante Bounty Officers—located in Small Settlement, Fisherman’s Point, and Duneshelter—allow you to exchange bounty tokens for high-tier, second-level implants.
You can earn bounty tokens by defeating Wanted Fugitives scattered throughout the world. Talk to Intel Dealers to find out where these fugitives are hiding. Every implant costs 30 Bounty Tokens.
| Implant | Description |
|---|---|
| Musclehead | Raises attack by thirty percent but cuts work speed in half. |
| Burly Body | Adds twenty percent to defense. |
| Artisan | Pal's work speed increases by fifty percent. |
Tip: To install an implant, interact with the Pal Surgery Table, choose the Pal you want to modify under the Transfer Passives section, and select an implant from the available list. Once installed, the effect is permanent.
