If you’re aiming to complete the Expedition Project in Arc Raiders before its deadline, you’ll need to collect at least 20 Sensors to finish the third stage. Fortunately, compared to some other resources, Sensors are relatively easy to obtain once you know the right locations to loot and which items are worth recycling.
Below, you’ll find a complete breakdown of the best places to farm Sensors and a full list of items you can safely recycle to get more if you’re running short. Since you need a total of 20, it’s a good idea to start stockpiling them early rather than scrambling at the last minute.
Sensors are categorized as Security and Technological materials, meaning they are most commonly found in locations marked with the chevron or microchip icons. While there are many such points of interest throughout Arc Raiders, not all of them are equally efficient. Based on consistency and safety, these are the best locations for farming Sensors:

Out of all the available points of interest, Pilgrim’s Peak stands out as the most reliable location for farming Sensors. The basement contains a large number of breachable server towers, and these almost always have Sensors among their loot pool. Positioned in the northeastern corner of The Blue Gate, Pilgrim’s Peak is also fairly isolated, making it much safer to loot compared to more central areas. If Sensors are your priority, this is the first place I recommend checking.
A close second is the Launch Tower on Spaceport. Located directly in the center of the map, this tower contains two separate rooms, both packed with servers and electronic machinery. Each of these lootable objects has a solid chance of dropping Sensors, and the location becomes especially profitable during Night Raids when overall loot quality tends to be higher.
Still on Spaceport, the Arrival Building basement is another worthwhile stop. This breachable room is filled with servers that can drop Sensors fairly consistently. Since it’s only a single room, it’s best tackled solo so you can loot everything yourself without needing to split resources with a squad.
Lastly, the Control Tower in Dam Battlegrounds offers good Sensor potential but comes with higher risk. This area is notorious for PvP encounters, which is why it ranks lower on the list. If you’re comfortable dealing with other players, the second floor has several electronic loot spots that can yield Sensors. On top of that, the Control Tower connects to Research and Administration, both of which contain a high number of technology-focused containers worth checking.

If farming isn’t going smoothly, you do have the option to purchase Sensors directly from Celeste. Each Sensor costs 10 seeds, and you can buy up to five per day. This makes buying a useful way to supplement your raids, especially if you’re only missing a few Sensors to complete the Expedition Project.
Recycling is another efficient way to obtain Sensors, and in many cases it’s better than risking a raid. The following items can be dismantled to produce Sensors:
As a general rule, if an item can be recycled, you should recycle it instead of carrying it out of a raid. Unless inventory weight is an issue, recycling guarantees Sensor progress and lets you extract value from otherwise random junk. All of the items listed above currently have little to no practical use and exist mainly to be dismantled.
While Sensors cannot be crafted directly, combining looting, recycling, and daily purchases makes reaching the required 20 fairly straightforward. With a bit of planning and consistent runs, you should have no trouble completing this step of the Expedition Project.
