In World of Warcraft’s Trading Card Game (TCG), each set includes three special loot cards with redeemable codes for exclusive in-game items. These cards range in rarity, offering a collectible pet, a novelty item, or an ultra-rare mount. Since the TCG has ended, these loot cards have become increasingly scarce and pricey. The final TCG expansion, Reign of Fire, introduced a chance for previous rare loot to appear in card packs, with enhanced odds of finding a special card—now at 1:9 compared to the previous 1:11.
To claim your loot, head to WoW’s promotion page, where you’ll enter the 25-digit code found on your card (or obtained through contests). This will generate an in-game code redeemable through Landro Longshot in Booty Bay. In addition to this guide, the TCG item pages provide expansion and card names to help you select the correct option from Landro.
If you prefer not to rely on luck with random card packs, you can buy specific loot cards directly. Most mounts and pets redeemed via TCG codes can be found on the Auction House (AH) as bind-on-equip (BoE) items, purchasable with gold. Mounts appear under the Miscellaneous tab, while pets are located in the Battle Pets section. For pets, although the item itself is bind-on-pickup (BoP), you can cage and trade the pet after redeeming. The Undermine Exchange is an excellent resource for tracking these items across realms and provides average buyout details on item pages.
In Warlords of Draenor, various TCG items were added to the Toy Box, making them available through the Black Market Auction House (BMAH), where you can bid up to 999,000 gold against other players. For more details on BMAH bidding strategies, check out our Black Market Auction House guide.
