Where to find the Flag for the A Symbol of Unification Quest

The location tied to A Symbol of Unification usually isn’t crawling with other players, but the surrounding areas you may have to travel through can be a different story. Zones like the Wreckage and Scrap Yard are popular farming routes, especially for mushrooms, which means you could run into other raiders along the way. Because of this, it’s smart to stay alert and come prepared for potential encounters.

The good news is that you don’t need to extract in order to complete this quest. That makes it a perfect candidate for running a free loadout, since there’s no real penalty if things go south and you don’t make it back to Speranza. Once you’re geared up and ready, it’s time to head out and spread a little unity.

To begin, load into the Dam Battlegrounds map and make your way toward the Formical Outpost, which is located in the bottom-right corner of the map. The outpost sits atop a tall hill, so expect a bit of a climb before you reach your destination.

After arriving at the Formical Outpost, head inside the structure and look to your right. You should spot a medical bed, and near it, a backpack that you can interact with. Interacting with this backpack will cause the Raider Flag to spawn. Pick it up to add it to your inventory and move on to the next step.

Once you’ve secured the Raider Flag, you’re more than halfway finished with A Symbol of Unification. The final step is to actually raise the flag. To do this, make your way toward the back of the outpost and look for the flagpole outside. Interact with the flagpole to raise the Raider Flag and officially complete the quest.

With A Symbol of Unification checked off your list, you’re free to continue looting the surrounding area or make a beeline for extraction. One of the closest extraction options is the Red Lakes Balcony lift to the northeast, but keep your guard up if you head that way. It’s a known hotspot for extraction campers who like to wait for unsuspecting raiders.
