Arc Raiders Celeste's Journals Quest Guide

In Arc Raiders, Celeste has tasked you with recovering two journals she left behind during previous excursions topside, and tracking them down will require a fair bit of effort. In the aptly named Celeste's Journal quest in Arc Raiders, you'll need to travel to two separate locations positioned on opposite ends of the Dam Battlegrounds map, so prepare yourself for a lengthy and potentially dangerous raid.

If you want to make this quest easier on yourself, it’s highly recommended to equip an augment that provides a safe pocket. You’ll need to extract with both of Celeste’s journals and return to Speranza to complete the quest, and that’s no small feat. The distance between objectives forces you through hostile territory, so be sure to bring a reliable weapon and enough ammunition to handle any ARC units or rival raiders you may encounter along the way.

Once you’re ready to head out and tackle this challenging task, follow the steps below. As a general rule, it’s usually best to loot whichever outpost is closest to your spawn point first, then carefully make your way toward the second location.

Where to find Celeste’s Journal at the South Swamp Outpost

One of Celeste’s journals can be found inside the South Swamp Outpost. This is a clearly identifiable structure located in the southwestern area of the swamp on Dam Battlegrounds.

Enter the South Swamp Outpost and search the interior until you find a bed in the corner of the room. The journal will be resting there. Loot it and, if possible, store it in your safe pocket to ensure you don’t lose it if things go south.

If this is the first journal you’ve collected, place a marker on the Northern Outpost and begin the long journey north. Try to avoid unnecessary fights and stay clear of ARC patrols or other raiders whenever possible.

Where to find Celeste's Journal at the Northern Outpost

The second journal is located at Raider Outpost East, which the quest refers to as the northern outpost. This area sits just northeast of the Power Generation Complex POI, an area that can be particularly dangerous due to frequent ARC activity.

Carefully approach the outpost and make your way inside. Look for a small bed positioned sideways within the structure, as the journal can be found resting there. Pick it up and place it in your safe pocket if your loadout allows.

If this is the first journal you’ve collected instead, set a waypoint for the South Swamp Outpost and begin heading in that direction while remaining cautious of any ARC units or enemy players along your route.

Extracting with both Journals

To complete Celeste’s Journal quest, you must successfully extract from Dam Battlegrounds with both journals in your inventory. This can be especially challenging since the amount of travel required will eat up a significant portion of the 30-minute raid timer. By this point, ARC presence across the map will likely be heavier, making stealth and careful movement more important than ever.

Head toward the nearest extraction elevator and take your time approaching it, keeping out of sight as much as possible. Avoid combat unless absolutely necessary, as surviving the extraction is the final hurdle standing between you and quest completion.

Once you extract with both journals in your inventory, the quest will be marked complete, allowing you to turn it in to Celeste back in Speranza. Best of luck out there, raider.
