Arc Raiders Communication Hideout Quest Guide

Arc Raiders’ Buried City map is packed with some of the game’s most memorable quests, and Communication Hideout is one of the standouts. This mission takes you to the Red Tower, where you’ll need to complete a handful of objectives to get an antenna up and running. If you’re looking to knock this quest out efficiently, we’ve broken down every step you need to complete below.

You don’t need to successfully extract to finish Communication Hideout, so it’s perfectly safe to drop in with a free loadout if you want to minimize risk. There’s no worse feeling than losing valuable gear while working through a quest. That said, the Red Tower POI does sit near some worthwhile loot locations, including the Santa Maria houses, so players who come prepared may want to spend extra time looting the area.

Whenever you’re ready, follow the steps below to complete Communication Hideout in Arc Raiders.

Reach the Red Tower in Old Town

The Red Tower can be found in the southern section of Buried City, within the Old Town area. This part of the map is generally quieter than other hotspots, though it’s not completely risk-free. Raiders occasionally pass through while checking on a nearby Security Breach located in a room beneath the tower, so staying alert is always recommended.

Find the missing Battery Cell

The missing battery cell is located outdoors on the east side of the Red Tower. Look for a small structure near the base of the tower, where the battery cell can be found on the ground.

Interact with the box in this spot and it will drop a battery cell that you can pick up and carry. Once you have it, your next objective is to install the battery into a nearby generator.

Install the Battery Cell in the Generator

After grabbing the battery cell, turn 180 degrees away from the box. Just a short distance away, you’ll spot a yellow generator unit positioned nearby.

Insert the battery cell into the glowing blue slot on the generator. After placing it, you’ll still need to activate the generator to proceed.

Enable the Power on the Generator

To power up the generator, interact with the prompt located on the side of the unit. Once activated, the generator will come online and allow you to move on to the final step of the quest.

With the generator powered, your last task is to make your way up toward the Red Tower itself and boot up the antenna terminal.

For the final objective, you’ll need to enter the building and climb up to the landing just below the Red Tower. Start by heading through the nearby window located close to the generator.

Once inside, head up the staircase.

At the top of the stairs, immediately turn right and exit through the destroyed section of the wall. Straight ahead, you’ll see a yellow ladder that leads up to the landing beneath the Red Tower.

Climb the ladder, then circle around the landing to locate the antenna terminal.

Interact with the terminal to complete the quest. With Communication Hideout finished, you’re free to continue looting the area or extract whenever it suits you. Nice work, raider.
