Arc Raiders may be best known for its intense gunfights and scavenging, but beneath all the action sits a surprisingly emotional narrative. During your time in Speranza, Celeste will eventually ask you to visit a meaningful location and honor a fallen soldier. This task is part of the Keeping the Memory quest, which requires you to place a helmet on a memorial pole. While the tone of the quest is somber, completing it is thankfully very simple once you know where to go.

Where to find and place the Helmet for Keeping the Memory

The helmet can be found at the Wreckage, which is located in the southern section of the Dam Battlegrounds map. This area can attract a fair amount of activity, as players often come here to farm mushrooms. Stay alert while moving through the zone, as you may run into other raiders during your search.

After reaching the Wreckage, make your way toward the lower portion of the point of interest. You’re looking for a massive, destroyed Baron machine that has collapsed in this area. Just outside the remains of this machine, there’s a small plant concealing the helmet. It’s very easy to miss at first glance, but once you know where to look, it becomes much easier to spot. Interact with this hidden location to pick up the helmet.

With the helmet in hand, your next step is to place it on a memorial pole nearby. As you approach the correct spot, you’ll see a blue holographic helmet icon hovering over the pole, confirming that you’re in the right place. Interact with the prompt to place the helmet and officially complete the quest.

After finishing the objective, you’re free to extract and return to Speranza. One solid extraction option is the Red Lakes Balcony Lift to the northeast, though you should approach it carefully. ARC units frequently patrol this area, and it’s also a common meeting point for other players, so expect potential resistance on your way out.
