Arc Raiders Movie Night Quest Guide

Apollo is ready to unwind and enjoy some downtime with a few films in the fittingly titled Movie Night quest in Arc Raiders. This excursion sends you back into the chaos of the Stella Montis map, where you’ll need to brave one of its most dangerous locations to track down a set of old movie tapes, along with a Portable TV. If you’re aiming to finish this quest efficiently and minimize risk, this guide from Gamer Choice will walk you through exactly where to find everything you need.

Before dropping in, we strongly suggest equipping an augment that provides two safe pockets. That way, you can secure both quest items if things go wrong during your run. Since you’re required to successfully extract with both items to complete the quest, this small preparation step can save you a lot of frustration.

Where to find the old movie tapes

The old movie tapes can be found inside the Cultural Archives on the Stella Montis map. This point of interest is notoriously dangerous and is frequently packed with ARC enemies, including Ticks, Fireballs, and sometimes even Shredders, so make sure to proceed carefully and be prepared for combat.

There are several different routes that can lead you to the Cultural Archives. Depending on where you spawn, you might take the zipline down past the Business Center, or move through the stairways connecting the Seed Vault or the Atrium. With multiple access points, the location is fairly easy to reach no matter which direction you’re coming from.

Once inside the Archives, head toward the southwestern corner of the POI, near the door that leads to the stairwell mentioned earlier. In this corner, you’ll find a small stack of furniture draped with a white sheet. Interact with this pile to collect the old movie tapes required for the quest.

Where to find a Portable TV

Portable TVs most commonly spawn in Residential areas across Arc Raiders maps. Locations such as apartment buildings on Dam Battlegrounds or the Grandiso Apartments in Buried City are reliable places to search. That said, Stella Montis also has plenty of potential spawns, and we’ve consistently found Portable TVs there as well.

In fact, it’s entirely possible to find a Portable TV within the Cultural Archives themselves, the same location where you pick up the old movie tapes. Be sure to search along the outer edges of the Archives, checking chairs, shelves, and other small pieces of furniture that often hold trinkets or valuable loot. We’ve personally come across Portable TVs here multiple times, including during the same raid used to complete the Movie Night quest.

After securing both the old movie tapes and a Portable TV and extracting safely, you can return to Speranza to turn in the quest and help Apollo get his movie night started. It’s a shame he doesn’t throw in some popcorn, but at least the job gets done.
