Arc Raiders With A View Quest Guide

Arc Raiders quests on Stella Montis can swing wildly between calm sightseeing trips and absolute chaos, largely depending on how you've been playing in recent matches. If you’ve developed a habit of shooting anything that moves, you may find yourself paying the price during the With A View quest, as it often requires patience, good timing, and a fair bit of movement across the map.

For this quest in particular, it’s strongly recommended that you bring a loadout with at least one or two safe pockets. You’ll be gathering items that don’t always drop easily and are tied to very specific locations, so losing one to another raider would be incredibly frustrating.

Once you’re prepared, you can follow the steps below to complete the With A View quest.

Acquire a Rotary Encoder

Your first objective is to locate a Rotary Encoder. To do this, head to any Exodus loot location on Stella Montis. While this item is considered semi-rare and can technically appear at any of these spots, we’ve consistently had the best luck finding one inside Medical Research. Keep in mind that loot is RNG-based, so results can vary from run to run.

After securing a Rotary Encoder, you’ll be ready to move on to the next stage of the quest.

Go to any of the control rooms in the Assembly Line on Stella Montis

With the Rotary Encoder in your inventory, make your way to the Assembly Line point of interest on Stella Montis. Inside this area, you’ll need to enter one of the control rooms. These rooms are easy to identify on the map, as they’re highlighted with yellow outlines near the top section of the POI.

Once inside a control room, your next task will be to locate and activate a server switch.

Use the Rotary Encoder to activate the server switch inside the control room

Server switches are scattered throughout the Assembly Line POI, and during this quest, they’re conveniently highlighted in yellow. This makes them fairly easy to spot, even if the area is contested or filled with enemies.

Interact with the switch using the Rotary Encoder, and then prepare for the next interaction.

Interact with a computer to identify the correct parts

Near each server switch, you’ll find a computer terminal. Interact with the terminal to identify the correct parts and complete this step of the quest. While this advances your progress significantly, there’s still one final item you’ll need before finishing With A View.

Deliver an Ion Sputter to Shani

To complete the quest, you’ll need to locate an Ion Sputter and deliver it to Shani. Just like the Rotary Encoder, Ion Sputters spawn randomly at Exodus loot locations, so you can reference the same map used during the first step. There’s a good chance you may have already picked one up earlier in the raid, and if so, it’s best kept in a safe pocket.

Once you have an Ion Sputter secured, extract from Stella Montis using any available extraction point and return to Speranza to turn in the quest. If you brought a Raider Hatch Key with you, that can be a safer and faster way to leave the map while protecting your valuable loot.
