A new year has officially begun, and CoD BO7 still has plenty of content left to roll out. While it remains uncertain what updates will arrive for other game modes, a significant amount of information surrounding Zombies mode has already surfaced through leaks.
Below is a complete overview of everything currently known about Black Ops 7 Zombies mode in 2026, covering details available up to early 2026. This includes confirmed information about DLC 2, as well as rumors regarding DLC 3, upcoming maps, and new Perk-a-Colas.
Starting with the most reliable information, DLC 2. So far, the only officially shown material is the Astra Malorum ending cinematic. In this scene, all playable characters are dragged underground by zombies and descend into what appears to be hell, strongly hinting at the setting for DLC 2.
An official image from the DLC 2 map was actually hidden within this ending cinematic. However, it appeared extremely blurry and almost impossible to make out at first glance.
Thanks to data miners, the full image was later extracted, giving players their first clear look at the overall layout and environment of the DLC 2 Zombies map.
Visually, DLC 2 looks impressive and shares similarities with Crumbling Farum Azula. The dominant color palette consists of red and gray tones, complemented by a blue-gray sky overhead. The map also evokes subtle similarities to the Revelations Zombies map from Black Ops 3. As suggested by the Astra Malorum ending, the environment strongly resembles a hellish realm.
This setting could signal a shift in narrative direction. Instead of restoring the souls of the two playable characters, the primary objective may revolve around escaping this infernal landscape entirely.
Currently, the only official narrative clues about the map come from Intel discovered within Astra Malorum. In one piece of dialogue, Doctor Gideon Falkne describes recurring dreams of a town located within the Dark Aether, hidden beneath demonic clouds. While leaks suggest the map does not resemble a traditional town, it could potentially represent the ruins of one.

One of the most controversial leaks surfaced toward the end of November. According to the source, several insiders claimed that Black Ops 7 Zombies would receive a remake of Alpha Omega, which was originally one of five round-based maps. This remake would reportedly launch in the season following the game’s release. Additionally, Nuketown Zombies was rumored to return as a survival map alongside the Alpha Omega remake.
This claim was met with heavy skepticism from the community, and overall reception to the rumor was largely negative. That said, there is still a possibility that the next DLC map could be connected to Alpha Omega. Earlier intelligence suggested the setting might be a small town, and Alpha Omega itself was based on Nuketown.
While it is far too early to confirm whether the next Zombies map will be a full Alpha Omega remake, some players have pointed to a musical Easter egg found in Astra Malorum that plays Alpha Omega’s theme as potential evidence.
That said, it could also be a spiritual successor rather than a direct remake. Alpha Omega is widely regarded as one of the weakest Zombies maps ever released due to its many unique yet frustrating mechanics. If the development team does revisit it, major changes would be required to address its reputation, potentially involving a complete redesign.
As for when DLC 2 will arrive, it is expected to launch alongside Season 2. Based on the in-game countdown timer, Season 2 is scheduled to begin on February 5, 2026.
The DLC 2 marketing campaign will likely kick off earlier, possibly on January 15, also known as “115 Day.” During last year’s 115 Day celebration, the developers released a special blog post that accidentally revealed the upcoming map’s name, logo, details, and release date.
Because of this precedent, players can reasonably expect the first official details to surface around that date. In the meantime, Season 1 Reloaded is set to launch on January 8, bringing a new survival map called Zarya Cosmodrome, additional weapons, and potentially a limited-time Zombies mode.
Beyond DLC 2, community leaks suggest that the Martian region featured in Astra Malorum could become the next survival map for Black Ops 7 Zombies. If it does not appear during Season 1 Reloaded, it is expected to be added sometime during Season 2.
Regarding weapon additions, leaks indicate that at least one Zombies map will include two separate Wonder Weapons. Game files reference code names such as “SAT” (Saturn), along with “sat_ww_mantis” and “sat_ww_mantis2.” However, no concrete details about how these weapons function have been uncovered yet.
If the rumored Alpha Omega remake becomes reality, players could also see the return of the Ray Gun, potentially alongside its elemental variants from the original map.
One Perk-a-Cola addition appears almost guaranteed for Season 2: Widow’s Wine. Players have discovered a fully redesigned Widow’s Wine model within the game files, strongly suggesting its inclusion.
Several leaked Zombies map descriptions for Black Ops 7 have recently circulated through various media outlets. Some of these concepts were reportedly scrapped, including a map centered on an alternate-history scenario where Germany wins World War II and later launches an atomic strike on New York City.
One remaining leaked concept is believed to still be in development. This map is set near an erupting volcano in Japan and appears closely tied to Takeo Masaki’s storyline. Given that all characters are seemingly dragged into hell, this setting could align with a future DLC map. If not DLC 2, it may instead serve as DLC 3 or DLC 4.
Prior to launch, it was officially confirmed that every Zombies map would feature a full CGI opening cutscene. Both Ashes of the Damned and Astra Malorum delivered strong CGI introductions, and players hope this level of quality continues throughout all future Zombies content, along with more detailed character dialogue.
Additionally, upcoming Zombies maps in 2026 may introduce between four and six new relics per map. This would significantly expand the available relic pool for Cursed mode and give players more long-term progression goals.
Finally, by the end of 2026, many players expect the arrival of a Super Easter Egg for Black Ops 7 Zombies. The absence of one in CoD BO6 disappointed much of the community, and official feedback acknowledging this suggests the developers may have something special planned.
That covers all currently known and leaked information regarding Zombies mode. As always, players should remain cautious when it comes to unconfirmed community leaks, as not all of them are guaranteed to make it into the final game.
Zombies mode remains one of the most compelling aspects of CoD BO7, with its deep lore, hidden Easter eggs, and evolving gameplay systems.
