Pictomancer

FF14 Jobs Tier List

The FFXIV Pictomancer (PCT), introduced in the Dawntrail expansion and patch 7.0, is celebrated for its high burst damage and the unique Motif system, where you paint on a canvas to summon powerful creature attacks while wielding a hammer to enhance freedom of movement. Its gameplay revolves around gathering resources like Muses and paint stacks to amplify performance during a fast-paced buff phase with reduced recast timers, all set against a starry backdrop. As a Magical Ranged DPS, Pictomancer shares gear with Black Mage, Summoner, and Red Mage.

The Pictomancer's rotation is built around two primary combo foundations. Palettes generate Palette Gauge and Paint Charges, while multiple Motifs painted on the canvas summon powerful Muses.

The rotation in FFXIV PCT is quite flexible. Begin each 2-minute burst with the opener. Keep an eye on hammer charges and monster motifs to avoid overcapping. Always ensure you have either Fang ready for Madeen or Madeen with a Pom banked. Enter each burst phase equipped with a hammer, a landscape, and a monster.
