Senna Champion Guide
Role: Support
Lane: Support
Senna Support performs best with a build featuring Bloodsong, Boots of Swiftness, Black Cleaver, Rapid Firecannon, and Chempunk Chainsword. The most effective rune setup for Senna Support includes Grasp of the Undying, Font of Life, Bone Plating, and Revitalize in the primary tree, paired with Legend: Alacrity and Presence of Mind in the secondary tree.
Senna Champion Abilities
Absolution
Senna can attack souls that spawn from dead enemies to absorb their Mist. She can also siphon Mist from enemy champions she hits with attacks or abilities twice, dealing an additional 1-16% of the targets current health as physical damage.
Each stack of Mist grants 0.75 attack damage. Every 20 stacks grant 20 attack range and 8% critical strike chance. 35% of any excess critical strike chance is converted into life steal.
Senna's attacks take extra time to fire, deal an additional 20% physical damage and briefly grant her 10 / 15 / 20% of the targets movement speed.
Senna can only siphon Mist from an individual champion once every 6-4 seconds. Souls only have a 8.4% chance to spawn from minions Senna kills. Souls always spawn from large minions Senna doesn't kill, champions and large jungle monsters. Senna does not gain any attack damage on level up.
P
Piercing Darkness
Senna shoots a bolt of piercing shadow through an ally or enemy. Enemies hit take 30 / 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 (+0.4 per bonus attack damage) physical damage and are slowed by 15% (+0.1% per ability power) (+0.0015 per bonus attack damage). Allied champions hit are healed for 40 / 55 / 70 / 85 / 100 (+60% of ability power) (+0.4 per bonus attack damage) health.
Basic attacks reduce Piercing Darkness' cooldown by 1 second.
Target range: 600−1300 (depending on Senna's collected Mist)
Q
Last Embrace
Senna sends forth the Black Mist, dealing 70 / 115 / 160 / 205 / 250 (+0.7 per bonus attack damage) physical damage to the first enemy hit. After a 1 second delay the target and other nearby enemies are rooted for 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 seconds.
W
Curse of the Black Mist
Senna draws the Mist she has stored in her weapon into a storm around her, embracing darkness and becoming a wraith within for 6 / 6.5 / 7 / 7.5 / 8 seconds. Allies who enter the area are Camouflaged and also appear as wraiths as the Mist shrouds them. Wraiths gain 20% (+5% per 100 ability power) increased movement speed, are unselectable, and hide their identities as long as no enemy champions are nearby.
E
Dawning Shadow
Senna fires a beam of light that deals 250 / 400 / 550 (+70% of ability power) (+1.15 of attack damage) physical damage to all enemy champions hit. Allied champions hit in a wider area receive a 120 / 160 / 200 (+50% of ability power) (+1.5 per Mist collected) shield for 3 seconds.

Senna Tips and Tricks
Do not use your R mid-combo. It takes some time to charge up, and you will be exposed to enemy CC and damage. You will also miss out on an auto-attack or two, which may make all the difference in a fight. Do not use your E unless you are being ganked. It is not a good ability to use mid-combo, and it costs a lot of mana without providing much benefit in fights. At level 1, try to be as aggressive as possible and apply as much damage to the enemy laners as you can.
Senna Best Build, Runes, Items
Most Popular
If you want to use a strong Senna Support build, you should take Flash and Heal as your Summoner Spells. For runes, pick Grasp of the Undying as your keystone, followed by Font of Life, Bone Plating, and Revitalize in the primary tree, as well as Legend: Alacrity and Presence of Mind in the secondary tree. For rune shards, Attack Speed in offense, Adaptive Force in flex, and Health in defense are effective, though it depends on the matchup. For items, start with Bloodsong, followed by Boots of Swiftness and Black Cleaver. The final three items should be Rapid Firecannon, Chempunk Chainsword, and Vigilant Wardstone. For skill order, prioritize Q, then W, then E.
Alternative
For another approach, take Flash and Heal as your Summoner Spells. Use Fleet Footwork as your keystone, with Presence of Mind, Legend: Alacrity, and Cut Down in the primary tree, and Bone Plating with Revitalize in the secondary tree. Choose Attack Speed, Adaptive Force, and Health Scaling as your rune shards. The item build consists of Bloodsong first, followed by Boots of Swiftness, then Black Cleaver. Complete the build with Rapid Firecannon, Infinity Edge, and Chempunk Chainsword. The recommended skill order remains Q, then W, then E.
Off-Meta
For an off-meta playstyle, take Flash and Heal as your Summoner Spells, with Summon Aery, Manaflow Band, Transcendence, and Scorch as your primary rune tree, and Font of Life with Revitalize in the secondary tree. Choose Attack Speed, Adaptive Force, and Health for rune shards. Start with Dream Maker, then build Boots of Swiftness and Echoes of Helia. The last three items should be Moonstone Renewer, Dawncore, and Vigilant Wardstone. Max Q first, followed by W, then E.
Situational Senna Runes and Items
Depending on the game state, team compositions, and your matchup, certain situational items and rune choices may be necessary. Carefully assess both your team and the enemy team to adapt your build accordingly. For example, consider taking Armor or Magic Resist in rune shards based on the damage type of your lane opponents.
