Tristana Tips and Tricks

When using your Explosive Charge E, make sure you auto-attack the enemy as much as possible to increase its damage output. While your W can be used aggressively, before jumping in, make sure the enemy CC abilities are down and the Jungler is not nearby. Jumping forward into the waiting arms of the enemy Jungler will leave you for dead. In team fights, use your R as a self peel tool. Use it to knock away the enemy frontline to keep yourself safe.

For rune shards, you want Attack Speed in offense, Adaptive Force in flex and Health Scaling in defense, though it depends on the matchup. Finally, for your items, you should build The Collector as your first item, followed by Berserker's Greaves and Navori Flickerblade. For your last 3 items, you should build Infinity Edge, Lord Dominik's Regards and finish with Bloodthirster. For the skill order, you want to stick with E - Q - W.

For items in this build, you want to complete The Collector as your first item, then finish Berserker's Greaves as your second item, and Navori Flickerblade as third item. The last 3 options are Infinity Edge, Lord Dominik's Regards and Bloodthirster. The ability order for this build is E - Q - W.

Situational Tristana Runes and Items

Depending on the context of your game, your matchup, and enemy champions, you might want to consider building some situational items or taking specific runes. Carefully examine your team, enemy team, game state, and your matchup to plan your Tristana build accordingly! For example, when it comes to rune shards, you might want to take either Armor or Magic Resist, depending on which champion you are about to lane against.
