Zac Champion Abilities
Cell Division
Each time Zac hits an enemy with an ability, he sheds a chunk of himself that can be reabsorbed to restore 4-8% of his maximum health.
Upon taking fatal damage, Zac splits into 4 chunks that attempt to recombine. If any of these chunks remain after 8 / 7 / 6 / 5 / 4 seconds, he will revive with 10-50% health depending on the health of the surviving chunks. Each chunk has 12% of Zac's maximum health, and 50% of his armor and magic resistance. This ability has a static cooldown and is unaffected by cooldown reduction.
The revival speed is increased every 4 levels.
P
Stretching Strikes
Zac stretches his arm out, attaching it to the first enemy hit to deal 40 / 55 / 70 / 85 / 100 (+30% of ability power) (+3% of Zac's maximum health) magic damage and briefly slow them. Zac's next attack gains increased range and applies the same damage and slow. If Zac hits a different enemy with this attack, he knocks up both towards each other. If they collide, they and surrounding enemies additionally take the initial magic damage and are briefly slowed.
Q
Unstable Matter
Zac's body erupts, dealing 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 (+4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8% (+3% per 100 ability power) of target's maximum health magic damage to nearby enemies.
Absorbing Goo reduces this ability's cooldown by 1 second.
W
Elastic Slingshot
Begin Charging: Zac pulls himself taut, charging up a dash over 4.5 seconds.
Release: Zac launches himself and knocks up enemies where he lands for up to 1 second (depending on charge time), dealing them 60 / 105 / 150 / 195 / 240 (+80% of ability power) magic damage. Zac spawns an extra chunk of Goo for each enemy champion hit.
E
Let's Bounce!
Passive: Cell Division healing is increased to 4.75 / 5.5 / 6.25% of his maximum health per Goo chunk.
Active: Zac bounces 4 times. The first bounce to hit each enemy knocks them back and deals 140 / 210 / 280 (+40% of ability power) magic damage. Subsequent bounces deal 70 / 105 / 140 (+20% of ability power) magic damage and slow by 20% for 1 second.
Zac gains up to 20−50% movement speed over time and can cast Unstable Matter while bouncing.

Zac Tips and Tricks
Group and play around your R. Zac’s kit is very strong in team fights and he can easily chain crowd control with it. Before engaging, always ensure your team is ready to follow up and engage with you. If the enemy laner is freezing, look to use your R in the mid lane to secure a kill. Zac has a surprising amount of kill pressure for a tank and can help his allies get ahead through roaming. In the laning phase, go for short bursty trades to get the enemy low, but avoid committing to fights as you likely won’t win them. Once you have your first item, you will be able to take extended trades more effectively.
Best Zac Builds, Runes and Items for Top
Most Popular
For the most popular Zac Top build, take Flash and Teleport as your Summoner Spells. For runes, choose Grasp of the Undying as your keystone, followed by Demolish, Second Wind, and Revitalize in the primary tree, and Last Stand and Legend: Haste in the secondary tree. Rune shards should be Attack Speed in offense, Health Scaling in flex, and Health Scaling in defense, depending on the matchup. Start with Sunfire Aegis, then build Plated Steelcaps and Unending Despair. The last three items should be Spirit Visage, Thornmail, and Randuin's Omen. Stick with the skill order W - E - Q.
Situational Zac Runes and Items
Depending on your game’s context, the matchup, and enemy champions, you might need to adjust your items or runes. Always consider your team composition, the enemy team, and the game state when planning your Zac build. For example, you might want to take Armor or Magic Resist rune shards depending on the champion you're laning against.
