Zeri Champion Guide

Role: Marksman

Lane: Botlane

Zeri Bot performs best with a build featuring Yun Tal Wildarrows, Berserker's Greaves, Runaan's Hurricane, Infinity Edge, and Lord Dominik's Regards. The most effective rune setup for Zeri Bot includes Lethal Tempo, Triumph, Legend: Alacrity, and Last Stand in the primary tree, paired with Conditioning and Overgrowth in the secondary tree.

Zeri Champion Abilities

Living Battery

Living Battery

Zeri's attacks are treated as abilities instead of attacks and can be charged up by moving and casting Burst Fire. Uncharged attacks consume a small amount of charge deal 10-25 (+3% of ability power) magic damage and execute enemies below 60−150 (+18% of ability power) health (depending on level). A fully charged attack deals 75-160 (+110% of ability power) (+1−11% of target's maximum health) magic damage and consumes all charge (depending on level).
P
Burst Fire

Burst Fire

Zeri fires a burst of 7 rounds that deals 15 / 17 / 19 / 21 / 23 (+1.04 / 1.08 / 1.12 / 1.16 / 1.2% of attack damage) physical damage to the first enemy hit. This ability is treated as an attack.

Cooldown: 1 / Zeri's attack speed
Q
Ultrashock Laser

Ultrashock Laser

Zeri fires an electric pulse that deals 30 / 70 / 110 / 150 / 190 (+25% of ability power) (+1.3 per attack damage) magic damage and slows the first enemy hit by 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50% for 2 seconds.

If the pulse hits terrain, it expands into a laser that applies the effects in an area and critically strikes champions and monsters.
W
Spark Surge

Spark Surge

Zeri dashes a short distance and vaults over any terrain she touches, greatly extending the dash range. For the next 5 seconds, her shots of Burst Fire pierce dealing 0-85% (depending on critical strike chance) damage to enemies after the first and an additional 20 / 22 / 24 / 26 / 28 (+20% of ability power) (+0.12 per bonus attack damage) magic damage on-hit to the first target struck.

Hitting an enemy champion with an attack or ability reduces this ability's cooldown by 0.5 seconds. Critical strikes reduce the cooldown by 1.5 seconds instead.
E
Lightning Crash

Lightning Crash

Zeri discharges a nova of electricity, dealing 175 / 275 / 375 (+110% of ability power) (+0.85 per bonus attack damage) magic damage to nearby enemies. If she hits an enemy champion, Zeri gains 30% attack speed and 10% movement speed for 5 seconds. Hitting an enemy champion with an attack or ability extends this ability's duration and adds a stack of Overcharge for 1.5 seconds. Critical strikes add 2 additional stacks. Each stack grants 0.5% movement speed.

During this time, Burst Fire becomes a faster triple shot that chains 25% AD physical damage to nearby enemies. This damage can critically strike.

Zeri Tips and Tricks

If the enemy is ganking your lane, use your E through terrain to create more distance between you and the enemy. Be on the constant move! Moving will generate energy, which you can use to deal extra damage to the enemy. While your E > R combo is powerful, don’t use it unless your allies are in a position to follow up.

Zeri Best Build, Runes, Items

Most Popular

For the most popular Zeri Bot build, take Flash and Barrier as your Summoner Spells. For runes, pick Lethal Tempo as your keystone, followed by Triumph, Legend: Alacrity, and Last Stand in the primary tree, and Conditioning and Overgrowth in the secondary tree. For rune shards, use Attack Speed in offense, Adaptive Force in flex, and Health Scaling in defense, depending on the matchup. Start with Yun Tal Wildarrows, followed by Berserker's Greaves and Runaan's Hurricane. Finish with Infinity Edge, Lord Dominik's Regards, and Bloodthirster. The skill order should be Q - E - W.

Optional

Your second option for Zeri Bot build would be to take Flash and Barrier as your Summoner Spells. Use Lethal Tempo as your keystone, and pick Triumph, Legend: Alacrity, and Last Stand in the primary tree, with Conditioning and Overgrowth in the secondary tree. For rune shards, take Attack Speed, Adaptive Force, and Health Scaling. Begin with Statikk Shiv, followed by Berserker's Greaves and Runaan's Hurricane. Finish with Infinity Edge, Lord Dominik's Regards, and Immortal Shieldbow. Stick with the ability order Q - E - W.

Alternative

If you're looking for an alternative build, use Flash and Barrier as your Summoner Spells. Choose Fleet Footwork as your keystone, and take Triumph, Legend: Alacrity, and Last Stand in the primary tree, with Conditioning and Overgrowth in the secondary tree. For rune shards, pick Attack Speed, Adaptive Force, and Health Scaling. Start with Yun Tal Wildarrows, followed by Berserker's Greaves and Runaan's Hurricane. Finish with Infinity Edge, Lord Dominik's Regards, and Bloodthirster. For the ability max order, use Q - E - W.

Off-Meta

If you want to try an off-meta Zeri Bot build, take Cleanse and Flash as your Summoner Spells. Use Conqueror as your keystone, and pick Triumph, Legend: Alacrity, and Cut Down in the primary tree, with Biscuit Delivery and Cosmic Insight in the secondary tree. For rune shards, take Attack Speed, Adaptive Force, and Health. Start with Yun Tal Wildarrows, then build Berserker's Greaves and Runaan's Hurricane. Finish with Lord Dominik's Regards, Infinity Edge, and Mercurial Scimitar. The skill order should be Q - E - W.

Situational Zeri Runes and Items

Depending on your game context, matchup, and enemy champions, you may want to adjust your items or runes. Carefully consider your team composition, the enemy team, and the game state when planning your Zeri build. For example, if you are facing an opponent with high Magic damage, you might want to take Magic Resist in your rune shards, or if you need extra tankiness against physical damage, consider Armor instead.
