- Outrage Among League of Legends Players Over Costly New Skin
Riot Games has outdone themselves with the visual splendor of the new Faker-themed skin for Ahri. However, despite its stunning aesthetics and unique animations, the steep price of around €450 has left many players outraged. Here’s a look at the community's reaction to this high-cost cosmetic.
Priced Out of Reach
As impressive as the skin may be, and as much as I enjoy watching Faker play, this Ahri skin is staying on the shelf for me. The price is absurdly high, raising questions about Riot Games' pricing strategy and their target audience for this purchase.
The response on social media, particularly on X (formerly Twitter), is filled with memes and a mix of disheartened and angry comments. The exorbitant pricing model is under heavy fire.
"We should start ridiculing anyone who buys this skin. What could possibly justify spending $500 on a League of Legends cosmetic? This is absurd and feels like a slap in the face to fans who appreciate this skin," one user remarked.
"Sure, the skin is beautiful and unique. But is it worth $500...? Given the high prices of other premium skins (with Elementalist Lux being the most expensive at 3250 RP), absolutely not," another user added.
