Are you one of those players who’s never received an epic item from the defeated world bosses in Throne and Liberty? Amazon Games has now explained the loot rules in detail.

What’s the Deal with World Boss Loot?
Since the launch of Throne and Liberty, players have been complaining about the low drop rates from world bosses. Even with regular participation, many have yet to take home a single epic loot piece. As a response, Amazon Games announced several measures:

  1. Measure 1 (Already Live): Peaceful world bosses will have more portals, allowing players to split across multiple versions of the fight, thus increasing loot distribution among players.
  2. Measure 2 (Already Live): The reward chest for participating in a world boss fight may contain an additional loot chest, which could grant you one of the boss's epic drops.
  3. Measure 3: The developers plan to publish an article detailing how loot distribution works for world bosses and other content.

Loot Rules for Peaceful World Bosses and Guild Raids

When a boss in Peace Mode is defeated, loot is distributed according to each player’s individual contribution. You must meet a minimum contribution to receive loot from the boss, with two types of loot available:

  • Contribution Loot: Each item is randomly distributed based on individual contribution.
  • Random Drops: Items are randomly assigned to players who did not receive a contribution drop.

Example: A world boss drops the following loot upon defeat:

  • Contribution Drop: 1x Sword, 1x Mask, 1,000 Sollant
  • Random Drop: 1x Boots

Assume you meet the required minimum contribution: If your contribution makes up 3% of the total, you have a 3% chance of receiving the Sword or the Mask. All players who met the minimum contribution have an equal chance to receive the Boots, regardless of their total contribution. You can only receive one drop in any case.

Loot Rules for PvP World Bosses

In Conflict Mode, loot distribution for world and arch-bosses follows a two-step process. First, loot is assigned to a guild, and then to individual players within that guild. A guild’s chance to receive loot depends on the total contribution of all its members.

Note: Dying in battle (even by another player) results in a character losing 70% of their individual contribution, which also reduces the guild’s overall contribution.

A minimum contribution is required from each guild to have their contribution counted. The distribution of loot items is then random, based on the guild's contribution percentage. Once a guild receives an item, all participating guild members have an equal chance to obtain it.

Example: A boss drops the following loot:

  • Drops: 1x Sword, 1x Mask, 1,000 Sollant

If players A, B, and C contribute 10%, 15%, and 20%, respectively, and all belong to the same guild, the guild’s total contribution is 45%. This gives the guild a 45% chance to receive the Sword and the Mask. If the guild receives the Mask, players A, B, and C each have an equal chance to get it.

Loot Rules for Other World Content

For open-world farming, Abyss Dungeons, quests, contracts, dynamic events, and loot from enemies in co-op dungeons, other rules apply:

  • When an enemy is killed, loot is assigned to the player who first dealt damage to the enemy.
  • If the player is in a group, loot is assigned to the player’s group instead. In this case, enemy loot items are distributed with equal probability among all group members, except when a group member is too far away and didn’t engage in the battle.

All items, Sollant, and experience are distributed equally whenever possible. Example: If there are 10 items for a group of 5 players, each player receives 2 items. If equal distribution isn’t feasible, the system distributes the extra loot randomly.
