It's not every day that an Arc Raiders quest pushes you topside with a clear objective to take down one of the toughest enemies in the game, but you’ll need to be ready when it happens. In the case of Settled in Full, your task is to hunt down a dangerous Bastion and secure a Bastion Cell from its remains.
If you’re heading into a Bastion fight with the goal of extracting a Bastion Cell, we strongly recommend bringing an augment that includes a safe pocket. There’s nothing worse than putting in the effort to get the item, only to lose it due to an unfortunate death.
When you’re prepared to take on a Bastion for Settled in Full, follow the tips below.
Bastions can spawn across all maps, but two locations stand out as the most reliable for dealing with these dangerous enemies: the Loading Bay on Stella Montis and Marano Park on Buried City.

Both areas offer solid cover and are positioned in central zones, meaning you’ll often encounter other players nearby who may assist in taking the Bastion down. The Loading Bay, in particular, tends to attract multiple players, making it easier to handle the fight.
Your approach to defeating a Bastion will depend heavily on the gear and resources you bring with you. If you’re equipped with high-end weapons, explosives, or plenty of ammo, the fight becomes much more manageable. Otherwise, you’ll need to play it more carefully.
The fastest and safest method to eliminate a Bastion is by using Wolfpack grenades. Bringing around four is usually enough to get the job done. Stay behind cover and throw the grenades above the Bastion to let the explosions rain down and deal heavy damage.
Other powerful grenades, such as Blaze Grenades, can also be effective. However, since they deal damage over time, the fight will take longer, requiring you to spend more time dodging the Bastion’s deadly machine-gun fire.
If you run out of grenades, a Hullcracker paired with a large supply of ammo can gradually wear the Bastion down. Aim for the yellow canister on its back to speed up the process, though landing consistent shots there can be challenging.
If your loadout lacks high-end firepower, you can still defeat a Bastion by playing it safe. Bring plenty of healing supplies along with a Ferro or Anvil, and make sure you have multiple stacks of heavy ammo ready.

Use cover effectively and focus your fire on the yellow canister located on the Bastion’s backside. To make this easier, start by targeting the yellow weak points on its knees. Breaking these will cause the Bastion to collapse briefly, giving you a valuable window to deal extra damage.
As always, grenades—even weaker ones—can help speed up the process. However, in this method, your heavy ammo will be doing most of the work.
If you’re confident and willing to take a risk, you can eliminate a Bastion using a Lure Grenade and a Deadline. Throw the Lure Grenade to distract the Bastion, then move behind it and place a Deadline charge. If executed correctly, this can result in a one-hit kill.
Another option is to use an Electromagnetic Cloak to sneak in and place the Deadline. However, this is even riskier—if the Bastion spots you for even a second, its rapid-fire machine gun can take you out instantly before you have time to react.
Once the Bastion is down and you’ve secured the Bastion Cell, your objective is complete. For more Arc Raiders guides and quest walkthroughs, be sure to check out Gamer Choice.
