Janna Support performs best with a build featuring Dream Maker, Boots of Swiftness, Moonstone Renewer, Redemption, and Dawncore. The most effective rune setup for Janna Support includes Summon Aery, Manaflow Band, Celerity, and Gathering Storm in the primary tree, paired with Font of Life and Revitalize in the secondary tree.
Your mindset throughout the game should be to keep your ADC alive at all costs. Stay close to them and use everything in your kit to protect them. If needed, use your Ultimate to knock back enemies attempting to engage. Never leave your team's side or wander too far away, as Janna is essential for keeping her teammates safe. If this means delaying a ward or avoiding an objective, it is better to stay with your team rather than risk getting caught alone. In lane, use your W and auto attacks to harass the enemy whenever possible. A good way to poke is by waiting for the enemy to use an ability, then walking up to auto-attack once before using your W.
For the most common Janna Support build, take Flash and Heal as your Summoner Spells. Use Summon Aery as your keystone, followed by Manaflow Band, Celerity, and Gathering Storm in the primary tree, with Font of Life and Revitalize in the secondary tree. For rune shards, take Adaptive Force in offense, Move Speed in flex, and Health Scaling in defense, depending on the matchup. Start with Dream Maker, followed by Boots of Swiftness and Moonstone Renewer. Finish the build with Redemption, Dawncore, and Vigilant Wardstone. Stick to the ability max order of W - E - Q.
Another option for Janna Support is taking Flash and Heal as your Summoner Spells. Use Arcane Comet as your keystone, with Manaflow Band, Celerity, and Scorch in the primary tree, and Relentless Hunter with Taste of Blood in the secondary tree. For rune shards, take Adaptive Force in offense, Move Speed in flex, and Health in defense. Start with Zaz'Zak's Realmspike, followed by Boots of Swiftness and Imperial Mandate. Finish the build with Shurelya's Battlesong, Redemption, and Vigilant Wardstone. Stick to the ability max order of W - E - Q.
For an alternative build, take Flash and Heal as your Summoner Spells. Use Arcane Comet as your keystone, with Manaflow Band, Celerity, and Scorch in the primary tree, and Relentless Hunter with Taste of Blood in the secondary tree. Take Adaptive Force, Adaptive Force, and Health Scaling as rune shards. Start with Dream Maker, followed by Boots of Swiftness and Echoes of Helia. Finish the build with Moonstone Renewer, Redemption, and Shurelya's Battlesong. Stick to the ability max order of W - E - Q.
Depending on your game context, matchup, and enemy champions, you may need to adjust your items or runes. Carefully consider your team composition, the enemy team, and the game state when planning your Janna build. For example, if facing an opponent with high Magic damage, you may want to take Magic Resist in your rune shards, or choose Armor against a team with heavy physical damage.
