    Sona Tips and Tricks

Use your Passive to the fullest by always auto-attacking after a trade. Set up picks with your R around objectives like Baron or Dragon. Hiding in an unwarded bush and ambushing the enemy is a great tactic for Sona. Watch your positioning at all times and stay close to your ADC to avoid getting picked off before or at the start of a team fight.

    Sona Best Build, Runes, Items

    Most Popular

For a strong Sona Support build, take Flash and Heal as your Summoner Spells. Choose Summon Aery as your keystone, followed by Manaflow Band, Transcendence, and Gathering Storm in the primary tree, with Conditioning and Revitalize in the secondary tree. Use Adaptive Force in offense, Adaptive Force in flex, and Health Scaling in defense for rune shards, depending on the matchup. Start with Dream Maker, followed by Ionian Boots of Lucidity and Echoes of Helia. The final three items should be Moonstone Renewer, Dawncore, and Staff of Flowing Water. The recommended ability order is W, then Q, then E.

    Alternative

For another approach, take Flash and Heal as your Summoner Spells. Use Summon Aery as your keystone, with Manaflow Band, Transcendence, and Gathering Storm in the primary tree, and Conditioning with Revitalize in the secondary tree. Choose Adaptive Force, Adaptive Force, and Health Scaling for rune shards. The item build consists of Celestial Opposition first, followed by Ionian Boots of Lucidity and Moonstone Renewer. Complete the build with Archangel's Staff, Dawncore, and Echoes of Helia. The recommended skill order remains W, then Q, then E.

    Off-Meta

For an off-meta playstyle, take Flash and Ignite as your Summoner Spells, with Arcane Comet, Manaflow Band, Absolute Focus, and Scorch as your primary rune tree, and Legend: Haste with Cut Down in the secondary tree. Choose Adaptive Force, Adaptive Force, and Health for rune shards. Start with Bloodsong, then build Boots of Swiftness and Archangel's Staff. The last three items should be Shurelya's Battlesong, Moonstone Renewer, and Ardent Censer. Max Q first, followed by W, then E.

    Situational Sona Runes and Items

Depending on the game state, team compositions, and your matchup, certain situational items and rune choices may be necessary. Carefully assess both your team and the enemy team to adapt your build accordingly. For example, consider taking Armor or Magic Resist in rune shards based on the damage type of your lane opponents.
