The Riven Tides update has finally arrived, and it’s easily one of the biggest content drops ARC Raiders has seen so far. Between the brand-new map, dangerous enemy encounters, and fresh progression systems, brawlers now have plenty of reasons to jump back into the game. Alongside the new location comes another lengthy progression challenge, and in this guide, I’ll walk you through the entire Avian Alarm project in ARC Raiders.
This ARC Raiders Avian Alarm project guide explains every stage, where to find the required materials, how brawlers can farm them efficiently, and which rewards are actually worth the effort. Some stages are straightforward, while others will force brawlers to hunt down extremely rare items across multiple raids.
Avian Alarm Project Guide for ARC Raiders Quick Summary:
If you want to complete the project before Expedition departure, check out our ARC Raiders Avian Alarm Project Boost at Gamer Choice.
As usual, every major ARC Raiders project tends to revolve around whatever new gameplay mechanic or area the developers recently introduced. In this case, the entire Avian Alarm chain heavily focuses on Riven Tides. The maritime theme is obvious from the very beginning, especially because almost every stage requires some form of Ship Model collectible.
Most of the additional resources can technically be farmed on older maps, but brawlers will usually find them much faster on Riven Tides. The map itself is compact compared to other locations in ARC Raiders, which means moving between loot zones is significantly quicker. If brawlers learn the routes and understand where specific loot pools spawn, completing these stages becomes much less frustrating.
Rather than simply dumping a checklist of required items, this guide focuses on explaining how brawlers can realistically acquire the materials efficiently and avoid wasting unnecessary raids.
The Avian Alarm project contains five stages overall, although only four of them actually require loot donations. These are the stages you’ll need to complete:
The naming theme clearly revolves around birds and warning systems. According to the in-game lore, the Speranzans are trying to build some kind of atmospheric alert network using trained birds. Why that somehow requires expensive ship models is another question entirely. Unfortunately for brawlers, those Ship Models are easily the most annoying materials to collect in the entire project chain.
Now let’s break down every Avian Alarm stage individually.

The first stage is thankfully very simple and mostly acts as an introduction to the Riven Tides project chain. Brawlers do not need to bring any materials into the raid beforehand. Instead, the objective simply asks you to travel to a specific location and interact with it.
Here’s how to complete the Initial Flock Intake step quickly:
Once the interaction finishes, the stage will instantly complete. Brawlers do not need to extract successfully afterward, which makes this step far less stressful than later stages.
That said, expect plenty of PvP activity around the objective during the first days of the update. Most players will rush this stage immediately. If you want to minimize risk, just equip a free loadout and sprint directly to the objective.
Completing this stage rewards brawlers with the Dockmaster’s Detector gadget and 25 Raider Tokens. The detector becomes extremely important later in the project because it helps locate beach loot and Ship Models during certain map conditions.

This is where the actual grind begins for most brawlers. Preliminary Signal Birds introduces several uncommon crafting resources and collection items that can take multiple successful raids to obtain. Some materials are easy to overlook if you don’t know where to search.
Riven Tides is still the best map for farming this stage because the condensed layout allows brawlers to chain loot runs very efficiently. Beach areas, maintenance zones, and industrial sections all contain important resource spawns for this phase.
Here’s how to complete Preliminary Signal Birds as efficiently as possible:
| Materials | Where to Find |
|---|---|
| Tick Pod x7 | There are lots of Ticks hiding under the pier near the Seabed. You can also find a mob of them in the Hotel Complex. |
| Canister x20 | Hotel Panorama Azzurro is the best place to find Canisters on Riven Tides. I was also able to find them in raider stashes scattered around the map. |
| Moss x12 | Dried Riverbed is chock-full of them. If you fail to find moss there, you can try the Hydroponic Dome Complex or any map during Lush Blooms. |
| “Twilight Compass” Ship Model x5 | So far, I was able to find just one, on one of the Stacking Yard tower cranes. I’m pretty sure we’ll need to find the Ship Models on the beach, using the Detector during the new map condition: Beachcombing. |
Compared to later stages, Preliminary Signal Birds is more about patience than difficulty. Brawlers who learn the optimal loot routes can finish it relatively quickly without fighting too many dangerous enemies.

The third phase significantly increases the difficulty because brawlers must start farming Comets for Igniters. Even now, Comets remain some of the most intimidating enemies in ARC Raiders due to their aggressive bombing attacks and unpredictable movement patterns.
Apart from the Igniters, most remaining materials are manageable. The biggest challenge is surviving long enough to extract consistently. Brawlers should strongly consider bringing anti-ARC loadouts instead of prioritizing PvP gear during this stage.
Here’s how to finish Secondary Validation Birds efficiently:
| Materials | Where to Find |
|---|---|
| Comet Igniter x3 | To deal with Comet, wait until they roll up on you and shoot the white core once they open up to explode. You have to be fast, and it’s a harder timing than with the Fireball, but it’s manageable. Alternatively, just attack them from afar. The problem here is that they usually jump out like Jack-in-the-Box and attack you fast, so you might not have enough time to react. |
| Fertilizer x10 | I’m yet to find out the location where I may get the Fertilizers on Riven Tides, but I can tell you that there are plenty of them on the rooftops of Grandioso Apartments and West Village. |
| Rusted Tools x8 | The whole eastern part of the map, specifically Marano Road, Transfer Depot, and Railyard. For some reason, Rusted Tools frequently spawn around vehicles, so search the Bus trunks and metal crates near the areas with transport. |
| “Velocity” Ship Model x5 | My advice stays the same from the previous stage. Search the beaches of Riven Tides with your Detector equipped. |
Completing this stage rewards brawlers with Anvil IV, the Anvil Splitter attachment, and 50 Raider Tokens. Honestly, these rewards are surprisingly solid considering how early they arrive in the project chain.
Anvil IV remains one of the rarer legendary weapons in the game, and many brawlers still haven’t even seen one after hundreds of hours. Personally, I’d still rather bring a Jupiter against tougher ARC threats, but getting a legendary weapon reward this early is definitely appreciated.

The fourth stage is arguably the most exhausting part of the entire Avian Alarm project. Thankfully, the developers didn’t demand multiple Vaporizer Regulators, because that honestly would have been miserable.
Even so, this stage still forces brawlers to gather several rare materials that usually require repeated farming runs and good extraction luck. If you want to complete Heightened Alert Birds quickly, efficient route planning becomes extremely important.
Here’s what brawlers need for Heightened Alert Birds:
| Materials | Where to Find |
|---|---|
| Vaporizer Regulator x1 | Jupiter is the best weapon against Vaporizer cause it can hit through its shields, directly damaging its core. If you don’t have it, another good strategy is to bait out the shields with any cheap grenade and then throw Wolfpacks and Seeker Grenades at it. |
| Water Filter x3 | Any industrial loot zone, which is the majority of areas on the right side of the Riven Tides. You can frequently find them in metal crates there. |
| Agave x8 | Hotel Complex and the road towards the Dried Riverbed have some Agave plants. |
| “Sirena Dorata” Ship Model x5 | While I’m writing the article, I'm also simultaneously playing ARC Raiders to be able to update info on the fly. One interesting thing I’ve found out is that the Ship Models can be found in any loot zone, not just beaches, so if you die with Detector equipped, don’t worry, you still can get the models in other places. |
The rewards for completing this stage are actually excellent. Brawlers receive the Gel Patches cosmetic, 50 Raider Tokens, and the Riven Tides Hotel Keycard No. 311.
I always enjoy getting keycards as project rewards because they often lead to significantly better loot opportunities than a single weapon or attachment reward. During the early weeks of the update, many players and streamers will constantly contest these locked rooms. I’m not saying brawlers should camp the area, but staying nearby might lead to some entertaining encounters.

The final stage of Avian Alarm is where the project truly becomes brutal for most brawlers. Not only do you need a Turbine Compressor from the new Turbine boss encounter, but you also need the legendary-quality Leviathan’s Crown Ship Model.
That Ship Model alone can take an absurd amount of time to find depending on your luck. Even experienced brawlers may need countless beachcombing runs before finally securing it.
Thankfully, the remaining materials in this stage are considerably easier to acquire.
These are all materials required for Critical Warning Birds:
| Materials | Where to Find |
|---|---|
| Turbine Compressor x2 | This material is unique to Riven Tides. It only drops from the new boss ARC called Turbine. |
| Red Coral Jewelry x3 | Pretty frequent drop in Hotel rooms. Search the drawers and luggage. |
| Roots x4 | All nature locations let you find this loot, but Dried Riverbed is the best one for it. |
| “Leviathan’s Crown” Ship Model x1 | Since it’s a legendary drop, it’s either going to be extremely hard to get, or maybe even acquirable only under certain conditions. |
Honestly, the final rewards feel slightly underwhelming considering how difficult the last stage becomes. Brawlers receive a Bird House backpack charm, the Fist in the Air emote, an Acoustic Guitar, and 100 Raider Tokens.
None of those rewards are terrible, but after fighting a Turbine and hunting legendary Ship Models, getting a guitar as one of the headline rewards feels a bit funny. Pulling out an Acoustic Guitar in the middle of Speranza probably makes you one of the city’s most wanted individuals.

Now let’s quickly review every reward available throughout the entire Avian Alarm project chain. Overall, the rewards are actually fairly decent for brawlers, especially because several of them directly help with future farming objectives.
The later cosmetic rewards may not impress everyone, but some earlier unlocks are genuinely valuable.
Below is the full reward list for the ARC Raiders Avian Alarm project:
I’m personally most excited about the Anvil IV and Splitter combination. I briefly tested the weapon setup previously after getting a Splitter from the Trophy Display project, and it actually felt surprisingly strong. Unfortunately, I also died almost immediately afterward in an incredibly stupid way, so hopefully things go better this time.
Even though I’ve criticized parts of the reward structure, I genuinely like this update overall. I also appreciate that the Avian Alarm project isn’t something brawlers can instantly complete within a single evening. The longer progression creates more player interaction, especially during Beachcombing conditions when everyone is desperately hunting Ship Models.
More ARC Raiders guides for Riven Tides, Turbine farming, and additional projects will be coming soon.

It’s a new ARC Raiders project built around the Riven Tides update. The project asks players to gather materials, explore the new map, place a bird trap, and deal with several Riven Tides-related threats.
The bird trap location is in the northern section of Riven Tides, near the Seabed area. Head to the dried-up beach, look for the buoys, and interact with the blue transparent shapes to place the bird trap and complete the stage.
Ship Models can appear around Riven Tides, but the best way to farm them is by using Dockmaster’s Detector during the Beachcombing map condition. This makes it much easier to track beach loot and improve your chances of finding rarer Ship Models.
The Avian Alarm rewards include Dockmaster’s Detector, Heavy Gun Parts blueprint, Surge Coils, Anvil IV, Anvil Splitter, Gel Patches cosmetic, Riven Tides Hotel Keycard No. 311, Bird House charm, Fist in the Air emote, Acoustic Guitar, and 250 Raider Tokens.
No, not every required material is exclusive to Riven Tides. Ship Models and Turbine Compressors are tied to Riven Tides, but many other Avian Alarm materials can also be found on different ARC Raiders maps.
